I thought science doesn't deal with proofs. And no, it's not been proven that dinosaurs lived before man.

    Specific example.

It's been proven beyond any doubt they lived before man. What is wrong with you? Lol

The entire book of genesis is factually incorrect and has been proven so.

I think you'll find that Tolkien wrote LOTR as fiction from the start and nobody regards it as fact..;)

1- No I never saw Elvis with my own eyes, only in videos and films, but I'm quite prepared to believe he existed because he was too BIG to be a myth, and anyway nobody has ever come forward to say he never existed.
Same with Jesus, he was HUGE and almost as big as Elvis, and nobody ever came forward to say nah he never existed..:)
2- As for metaphor, you can believe literally in talking snakes and donkeys, but include me out..:)

Incidentally the Santorini pillar of fire is not my idea, it was suggested in a TV documentary a few years ago that scientifically examined the 10 plagues of Egypt and concluded that they all could well have happened due to freak weather conditions etc.
But as God controls the laws of nature he was quite possibly behind it..:)

According to Biblical genealogy Abraham appeared in 2100/2000BCE (a generally agreed date). Historically affirmed the Hittites did not appear until 1700BCE in Anatolia and in Palestine around 1500BCE. Abraham could not have bought his/Sarai's tomb in Machpelah from the Hittites four hundred years later. He could not have come from 'Ur of the Chaldees' as the Chaldeans did not appear for another 1000 years. He would not have met the Pharaoh as the reigning Egyptians then ruled from Thebes - far to the south of the Nile Delta where Abraham would have fed his flocks.

Study the story of Moses, the Exodus and the impossible instructions given for marching and camping. Have you ever studied the marching order? Have you ever studied the camping order? They're all in the Bible. With 2.5 million people, flocks and possessions these are impossible. The scribes who wrote the story around 700BCE had no idea of the impossibilities in their story. The same scribes knew of the Hittites who were around until just before their time. They knew of Ur as 'Ur of the Chaldees' because that was also around their time. To put the story in context it should have been 'UR of the Akkadians or Sumerians'.

If you want citations study ancient Mesopotamian History. All the facts and figures can be worked out from there..

Everything points to stories woven around known places and events, but much later. They simply got things wrong.

The plagues could have happened more than once in Egyptian History. It only took the rains in 3000 miles away in Africa to fail for several years and bingo!
As an agnostic I trust to the laws of nature.

God knows when we lie or tell the truth. You know that. Everything we do is recorded, we are without excuse.

Dinosaurs never even existed. Of all the excavators in the world, ask them how many holes they have dug, and of those holes how many dinosaur bones did they find. The word dinosaur didn't even come around until the 1800's. Are you trying to tell me that all of man's history up tell then, not one was found, like they never dug a hole before then?

It's called the Nile River, it turns the desert green. It played a very important, if not the most important role in Ancient Egyptian history. Are you trying to say that ancient armies would not have had, horses, camels, asses, caravans, etc, and the soldiers themselves to carry the food? That's why some keeps would not come to attack the army opposing them. They would just wait them out, until they ran of food. This was also done to the smaller less populated keeps themselves. A much larger army waiting out the keeps reserves.

Sorry, I don't know what you are talking about. The non-sensical 1 million man army? The Nile watered only a narrow stretch of land along its borders. Nothing in History indicates such a large Army ever existed. In fact no Empire could raise anywhere near that amount of soldiers. And for the logistics - even a modern army of such a size would struggle to survive - even with all it's modern facilities. WWII taught that logistics, or the lack of supplies, can lose a campaign.

The route this army would have had to take would have had to either face the Egyptian Army or avoid Egypt. By avoiding Egypt there would have been very few places for them to get supplies.

The probability is that an Army of Ethiopians who ruled Egypt around this time, went on a raid into Israel. NO WAY were there anywhere near a million soldiers. Even Gengis Khan, who conquered a vast empire, only had an estimated army of around 100,000 - 110-000 men. The whole thing is the usual exagerration of numbers.

Jerusalem was a tiny hilltop village on the trade route.. aka "bandit territory" and it never had a large population.

Certainly not in the manner described in the Bible. In any case there was no Moses, no Exodus. Just a story made up in 700 BCE. Forget what you have been indoctrinated with.

Look at the precise carching instructions. Look at the precise camping instructions. Try to visualise a queue 30 miles long. The cloud at the front - out of sight - tells the front to stop. How long does it take to reach the rear - now in chaos. Now they have to camp around the Tabernacle and the Tents of Moses. Unfortunately parts of the Tabernacle are 30 miles back in the queue. Nothing can be done until these parts are brought 30 miles forward. About 10 hours. Then the Tabernacle has to be erected by the Levi families before the vast number of the tribal people can be sorted into the area the MUST occupy.
Man, the whole thing is a crazy plan, written by scribes around 800 years after the 'supposed' event. They had never had to do it and never really understood what they were saying.

Sina was Egyptian territory at the time of the phony Exodus story.. and even today Sinai cannot support 2.5 million people and their herds.

Archeology.. Jerusalem was just a few acres.. Haven't you been there? Its very arid and stony.. Simply didn't have sufficient water or pasture or agriculture for any large population.

All the numbers in the OT are gross exaggerations.

Your own eyes saw those films, yes?

Plenty of people have said that Jesus never existed. But more importantly, no one ever claimed that Elvis was literally God. It's one thing to say a dude with the name of Yeshuah lived a long time ago; that's not saying much. It's quite another thing to say that he's God. The standard for evidence is WAAAAAAY higher, making your Elvis comparison straight retarded.

I've made it clear that I don't believe in that crap, and you've now made it clear that you're just trolling.

If you're not going to actually respond to anything I say, and just continue to spew "talking points", then I see no reason to continue this conversation.
