Astronomers are currently estimating that there's maybe 2 TRILLION galaxies in the universe. According to the religious whiz kids we are expected to believe that the creature that created all of that is only concerned with the people on a speck of dirt on a very tiny planet that was created about 6,000 years ago. And that the creature will spend eternity with those chosen people while ignorning everything else.

Yes I've read them and they don't really stick. If you can give me an example I'd appreciate it.

It wasn't because they were lost. Probably I can go from Egypt to Israel in a week or two if I was walking. The idea was (1) at the time of the exodus Canaan was in the midst of a war so God diverted the Israelites elsewhere and (2) when the first generation rebelled there punishment was that they won't see the land and their children will and that took forty years. What makes you think they got lost?

Today you can go from Egypt to Israel in 10 secs. IF you can cross the barrier fencing.

In the days of the 'supposed' Exodus you didn't have to travel from Egypt to Canaan. Canaan was under Egyptian control. There was no war in Canaan. There was no nation in Canaan. It was made up of tribes and city states - independent of each other. Sure they would fight each each other occasionally but none could have stood up to the 'supposed' invasion of 2.5 million Hebrews.
Neither could Canaan have sustained 2.5 million Hebrews and the population already there.

There are Galaxies, stars and planets by the trillion in the Universe. And almost certainly forms of life not known to us. Maybe not recognisable by our science. You want people to believe that there is life after death. Who knows? It certainly is not recognisable by current science.

Still, the sound of war would've deterred the Israelites. Rumors tend to exaggerate.

The Israelis in modern times managed to turn a desert into a garden in just a few years.

I'm speaking from what the Bible says.

Ronald Eldon Wyatt (2 Jun 1933 – August 4, 1999) was an adventurer and former nurse anesthetist noted for advocating the Durupınar site as the site of Noah's Ark, along with almost 100 other alleged Bible related discoveries. These have been dismissed by scientists, historians, biblical scholars, other Creationists and by leaders in his own Seventh-day Adventist Church, but his work continued to have a following https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Wyatt

Honestly you have no idea of the times. The Hebrews were supposed to have been moving around around the Sinai Desert. They had no means of communication even to hear of a minor scuffle between tribes hundreds of miles away.

What the Israelis have done today with modern machinery to irrigate, plough, and cultivate the land is completely different from using an ox plough, sowing by hand, tending crops without modern pesticides, reaping with sickles by hand and grinding the corn by hand. Israel, of those days, could not have sustained such a population as recorded by the Bible.

I know you are speaking from what the Bible says. Unfortunately those of us who have spent decades - both as christians, and now agnostics - studying the Bible and the History, culture and religions of the time, have learnt not to trust the accuracy of the Bible.

Why did Jesus use OT stories like Jonah? Because, like you, he had been taught that these things were true, and he believed, as a good Jewish boy, what he was told while young.
He did not have the knowledge we have today to be able to question the Tanakh (OT).

You know what? If the leaders of the Abrahamic religions got together and studied the Bible and History without believing in things that are not proveable - like the existence of Abraham and Moses and the Exodus - they could all come together and agree on one 'god'. Because if Abraham did not exist the three branches - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - are baseless. They are all based on the OT stories.

A scientific theory will remain a theory until proven otherwise. For now, it's just a logical theory!

You are committing blasphemy towards their religion, for much of science is a religion that requires faith - which they call theory.

I agree! Perhaps you might think I'm a little crazy or very crazy, but the earth being a ball cannot be proven either. Through Hollywood technology we are given images of earth and other planets. These images are nothing more than composites or artist renditions. There are 12 official NASA pictures of earth, all in which contradict one another on things such as the size of America, in which it is a different size in every image. Through a vast amount of people and research, it is of my opinion that satellites don't exist how we have been told. It is said that there are 20,000 + satellites in space. If this were true, you would see their silhouettes in front of the moon all the time, yet we absolutely never see them! Allegedly it is only a very few amount of people that have been to space. While the deepest anyone has ever been to space is their imagination. The globe is introduced to us at a very young age. So young that we do not even have the brains to argue against it. We are told it is where we live, and how those of the past thought it to be flat, convincing us to laugh at such a thought of earth being flat. Of course this is all taken care of by Christopher Columbus, a huge lie that even the people of today say the story in which we was given as children is absolutely false.

During the time of the moon landing, NASA hired Hollywood director Stanley Kubrick, I wonder why?

The earth has been proven to be a ball. You just don't want to believe it. I, and millions of others have flown round it. If we were flying across a flat earth we would have eventually flown over the edge. And, given the right climatic viewing conditions, you can see around 100 satellites from earth with the naked eye.

This just goes to show the point in which I made. You haven't a clue of what is going on, you cannot go outside and witness the curvature. You cannot see it from a plane, because even if it is a ball you have to be around 110,000 to 120,000 ft high.

From east to west or west to east, is the only so called circumnavigation of the alleged ball. While few have claimed to fly over the north and south pole in a circumnavigating direction, none can be confirmed or proven. The only other thing you have to go on is what Hollywood shows you. Yes even the moon landing, NASA hired Hollywood director Stanley Kubrick not long before the alleged moon landing. Your entire reality has been made up for you. But please, continue.

Even today the population of Sinai is under 800,000 people..

    Exodus is fiction.

Do Europeans and Brits have this dithering about creationism?

I doubt most people here have ever heard of it - outside of religious people. We're a bit backward here, you know. Creationism isn't taught in schools though it probably appears amongst other religious topics. Faith schools who do teach it lose their Government funding. A lot of Christians seem more interested in getting to heaven than to worry about how it all began..

First of all I asked that you show that he's lying about the Red Sea crossing. Secondly what you quoted wasn't specific. What evidence do they have?

    - - - Updated - - -

First of all how does that relate? Secondly they crossed the Red Sea nearest to Saudi Arabia.

Actually they were traveling around the Arabian desert. They made a fly by through the Sinai and crossed the Red Sea into Arabia.

    God blessed their hand.

    I pretty much doubt that.

You say they were travelling around the Arabian desert. Your proof? The fact is that there is no proof anywhere of an Exodus as described in the Bible. No-one has ever found Mount Sinai though many mountains have been put forward - some quite credibly. But the fact is no-one has any definite proof. In ancient times the Sinai peninsula and Arabian Desert were often put together as one area - depending on who ruled the area.

You are trying to tell me that 2,500,000 people plus their goods, flocks and herds went down onto the rocky sea bed, crossed it and up the other side in 12 hours? (12 hours being the length of darkness in the Middle East). Pull the other leg. It's a wonderful story, nothing more.

If only people such as yourself would take time to actually study the history of the time, the culture and religions you would understand the impossibilities and exaggerations that are found in the Bible.

You also need to read the ridiculous claims of Ron Wyatt to see why virtually all archaeologists ignore his work.
