It's not a news program; it's entertainment...figure this out! If you don't like the entertainment from Maher, then change the channel. If you believe the information on Maher is meaningful in any way, then you need to review and adjust your qualifications for 'meaningful'. I personally enjoy some of Maher's humor but frequently don't agree with his politics but I do understand the show is 100% entertainment...not news...not factual...not anything but entertainment...

The "flagrantly" irresponsible or "hopelessly stupid" like people with chronic illness or birth conditions who cannot buy insurance, people whose companies when under and had their insurance retroactively canceled, people who have families in better times and now have no work insurance and miserable part time jobs. and can't get jobs because they or their family might actually USE the company's insurance and make the rates go up so employers won't hire them.

With my liberal hat on: Bill M is a genious when it comes to pointing out the flaws of broadcast propaganda news media spin. And he turns reality of bogus idiot political morons into comedy. However, he will never be as good as the king of political comedy George Carlin. Nevertheless, he is a better source of news than the talking head spin doctors of MSNBC, FOX, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, all the religious christian BS news, etc... The Daily Show and Colbert report are also great sources of news. These comedy news all tell you what happened, and put a comedy spin on it, rather than trying to insult my intelligence into brainwash propaganda salad.
It all comes down to this: Can you afford it? Can you not afford it? You want the government or your employer to cover you? You want a healthcare with more specialized branches but not always open to those who cannot afford these specialized services, and completely out of reach for the underclass except in the cases of emergency, or a more general healthcare accessible to all, but more prone to abuses? There was also some talk of providing a basic coverage for all, but keeping the rest of the system at status quo.

Not true at all. Maher has called Obama too task. He is too much of a peacemaker with the neo right. He doesn't have a lot of good things to say about Obama because Obama doesn't stand up to the conservatives enough, which is the awful truth.
