Do self checkouts and do away with the need for most cashiers, Muslims or otherwise.

There are more Jews on Marks + Spencer's board of directors than Muslims or Christians .

see this + get the facts from Jewish Chronicle ::

Marks & Spencer say Jewish staff do not have to handle pork

    http://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/114233/marks-spencer-say-jewish-staff-do-not-have-handle-pork

A M&S spokesperson said: “We recognise that some if our employees practise religions that restrict food or drink they can handle, or mean they cannot work at certain times.

“M&S promotes an environment free from discrimination and so, where specific requests are made, we always make reasonable adjustments to accommodate them, whilst ensuring high levels of customer service.”

Marks & Spencer has confirmed that Jewish employees do not have to serve pork products at tills to its customers, if it goes against their religious beliefs.

The chain confirmed that, in the same way a Muslim member of staff could refuse to handle pork and alcohol, a Jewish employee could decline to sell pork sausages, bacon rashers and sea-food.

The spokesperson said that a Jewish employee could also opt not to work on Shabbat.

The store chain was founded by Polish-Jewish refugee Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer in the late 19th century.

Ignore the BS in the OP read the facts and learn

Frankly it's bizarre. It goes way beyond what is required by employment law, it's the internal policy of one retailer. The decision ranks alongside those anti-gay bakers.

" ...Marks & Spencer said it was company policy to respect workers’ religious beliefs, such as permitting Christians to not work on Sundays.

‘We recognise that some of our employees practise religions that restrict the food or drink they can handle, or that mean they cannot work at certain times,’ the company said.

‘M&S promotes an environment free from discrimination and so, where specific requests are made, we will always make reasonable adjustments to accommodate them, whilst ensuring high levels of customer service.’ ... "

At what point does "respecting someone's right to freely practice their religion" become "we have to respect and live by their rules." -- ? How is that right?

London is to become a Muslim city and it only makes sense to start switching to sharia friendly businesses now it will pay off later. Paris also needs to embrace its new identity and move past its old history of oppressive white culture and embrace its new role as the Mecca of the west. The Labour Party must recognize they gain power by allowing mass immigration from leftist Muslim nations where socialism is quote a popular ideology. It only makes good demographics sense for The Party to breed out the native Britons who are known for their poor genetic material and tendencies towards freedom.

You really need to stop sucking the stormfront teat. Muslim extremism has nothing to do with either this situation or the labour Party. MARKS and Spencer was started by a Byelorussian jew maybe that explains it's excessive religious tolerance.

No one said anything about extremism except you. I am talking about making cash. What are you talking about? Sharia law is like kosher law. Cater to it and gain customers. The Labour Party is not a Muslim jihadis group. I suggest you read up on UK politics before just spouting about.

Your posts so far bear no relationship to reality in Britain.
