I think that's going to be the case with a lot of Bernie's supporters. He has gotten a lot of younger people excited about the election process. But Hillary is not going to be able to do the same thing. For one thing, they are just young, not lemmings like the typical Democrat who is following orders because "it's Hillary's turn". And for another, younger people are very good at spotting a fraud, and Hillary is the biggest fraud of them all, even bigger than the Donald.

 

Even before tramp's latest meltdown, 8.5 of 10 bernie-bot (per Gallup) planned to vote for Hillary. Gary Johnson may now skim a percent off that, but almost none are going to vote for an orange faced bigot bankrupt failure.

 

No, about 75% of Bernie supporters will never vote for Hillary.

Trump will lose for the very simple reason that he is a radical. Radicals do not win in American politics right or left. Look at Goldwater in 1964 and McGovern in 1972.

And there is also the fact that Hillary is not the Machiavellian and incompetent crone that she's been made out to be. Once people realize that she didn't REALLY murder Vince Foster there is going to be a certain amount of sympathy for her, sympathy which Trump's ongoing shenanigans are unlikely to garner for him

 

I admit I know very little on American politics but I dont get how Bernie voters will prefer Trump over Clinton...., if we can't get an ultra liberal might as well go Facist ?

 

And you think Bernie supporters are not only going to go out of their way to purposely ignore all the red flags Trump seems to throw out daily about racism and authoritarianism but are then going to become outraged over how government "wastes" their money on things like education and health care? The very things Bernie wanted to spend MORE on? I have one daughter who was a Democrat, that surprised me yesterday, when she told me she was voting for Trump.

he is free to come out with some interesting numbers regarding an INCREASE in LEGAL immigration from Mexico and the rest of South America......

Well I am not going to get into that in any detail here but we have lost our triple A rating by two notches which is expected to be for the medium to long term, the bank of England is playing with money to keep us together, we are expecting a significant recession the effects of which will take a little time to come and we are expecting the B of E to reduce interest rates. Due to the decrease in the value of the pound imports are going to cost a lot more. On the racist level we saw from police reports an increase of 57% in the first three days after the Referendum calling EU migrants 'vermin' and even children were not left out of the racist assault which was directed both towards colour and those from the EU. Homophobia also increased - the far right do not like gays. England is being torn apart while Scotland builds up friends. Westminster is desperately trying to find a way in which it can undo the harm done but the best they are likely to come up with is a similar situation but with us with no say, hence we will seriously have lost from brexit which ever way it goes. There is now even talk that Brexit may not have been legal as it was not done for the good of the country but rather for political gain of the Tories. It looks to me like the people of England have done the most destructive thing they ever have to themselves and most of them were so ill informed they were not aware what they were doing. Most of the rest were either racists or political opportunists. It may well cause the break up of the UK as well.

 

This could be a good time to take a serious look at the history of
central banking policy in the USA.

I am not exactly sure where that fits in here, the Bank of England is talking about reducing not increasing interest rates which in any case are at about half a percent to try and keep us afloat. The UK, in particular England is disintegrating. The Leave people did not even have any plans, they did not expect to win. They were playing a game. But the damage is done even though all the talk now is to try and make it so that the vote never happened. The exposure of the latent xenophobia in England has to be deeply concerning. Migrants and black people report being terrified....and as I said there is now a very strong possibility of the UK breaking up and just being the Union of England and Wales.

 

Their own country again, with a sense of pride, and the resolve to not turn into a third world hellhole.

I do hope that low interest rates are continued and recognized as perhaps the number one way to fight inflation......

because high interest rates are themselves..... perhaps the number one cause of inflation and the devaluation of the Canadian dollar
since 1974.

On the plus side..... a messed up central banking system that tends to break unions does have the positive effect of dampening the
economy which does tend to protect the environment..... at least somewhat.

This is actually a quite serious question.

P. M. Trudeau made an error back in 1974, that may well come to be understood as one of the most important mistakes ever made by a political leader.

When P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau took Canada off the gold standard, (which incidentally had to be done for many valid reasons), a miscalculation was made that is the number one reason why our national debt has spiraled out of control.

But..... there is a very good side to this because all of us know that we humans have been in a somewhat similar mentality to our ancestors who shot, boiled, barbecued, roasted and fried passenger pigeons into extinction.

We are highly prone to OVER Consumptionism............. I addressed part of the background issues back in my 2006 provincial level campaign as an independent.
