I say this is a cool thing whether in Brazil or here in the USA or anywhere in the world, because Islam is a cool religion.

Islam teaches their members self discipline and self respect and they study Theology far more-so then does any other religion.

I am foremost a Christian but I see Islam as our brother religion, and I highly recommend an open minded study of the Holy Qur'an to anyone who wants to learn more about God.

So you think all these things (all fundamentally Islamic) are "cool" ? > imperialistic genocide (for 1400 years), severe misogyny (including wife-beating), rape, pedophilia, kidnapping/slavery, racism against black people, animal cruelty (Eid al-Adha), torture, mutilation, killing of homosexuals, robbery/pillaging (for 1400 years).
I have open-mindedly studied the Koran, and these are the things that it is filled with. Pages and pages of hate against everyone in the world who is an "infidel" (slur term for non-Muslim), which has resulted in the killing of 270 million people around the world.
Lastly, the Koran will not teach anyone anything about God. It has nothing whatsoever to do with God, except to use God, and the idea of religion, as a shield against all the severe criticism of this vile abomination, that Mo the pedophile and all his followers knew they were sure to get, back in the 7th century A.D. It is the world's longest-running, and worst consequence con job in world history, and it certainly is not a "religion" - something which would include a code of ethics - it is more akin to a code of UNethics.

No group in world history has engaged in slavery more than Muslims is North Africa. Muslims wrote the book on slavery (literally, it is advocated in the Koran) and have carried it on large scale since 1000 years before slave ships arrived in America.

This still occurs today in Sudan and Mauritania, as revealed in the book Escape From Slavery by Francis Bok, a southern Sudan Dinka tribesman, who did just that after he was kidnapped by Muslim slavers and brought to work on a farm in the Muslim northern half of the country.

Thank you for that information as I had not known that.

Wikipedia says it was called the Malê Revolt of 1835, Link.

And it confirms what I said in my post that Islam teaches its members self discipline and self respect.

Slavery was also part of VIKING culture as well as. Rome, Ancient Greece, the Ukraiine all had heavy duty slave trading.

The Arabs never had any industrial size slave driven plantation operations... and they couldn't feed large numbers of slaves.

The millions of slaves brought to South America and America were sold and transport by the Dutch, English and Portuguese..

Remember the trade in Guano, Sugar and Rum??

    WHAT?

    Know your history?....NOT!

Muslims ran slaves out Africa, and had oparations out of Brazil. All the way up till the late 1800's early 1900's. they were comeing out of Brazil. Quarani and Botofogo were their main slave merchant city's in Brazil.

Why would the revolt against their own profitable business.?

Slavery isn't advocated in the Koran.. However, it didn't forbid slavery.

It laid out rules for the treatment of slaves and specifically encourages setting slaves free.. In fact, the Koran says that "God Smiles" when a slave is freed.

Muslims in Brazil were slaves.. brought by the Dutch to run the Sugar Plantations.. Jews were overseers, investors and plantation managers because they had irrigation experience before they were forced out of Spain.

Eventually they invested in slave ships and became slave brokers.

You can find out all about it in the Dutch archives or the Brazilian archives.... under SUGAR JEWS OF RECIFE.

The story of the Viking slave raiding and trade is really fascinating.

I will see if I can find the story again.

What do I care how long Islam has been in Brazil ? 400 years is a drop in the bucket compared to Islam's 1400 years of slave trading in north Africa, and thousands of years more in that area before Islam even existed.

As for how much I know about Islam, I'd be willing to teach you about it, if you're willing to be a good student. You can start by taking this quiz on Islam and Islamization. First thing is always to discover how much you don't know. Identify as many people and things as you can. No false answers though, because I know who/what they are. Every single one.
Also, don't feel too bad if you can't get more than a 5% grade. No Islamapologist I've given this quiz to ever has (most got zero).

Here's some more information about Islam in South America :

Despite Brazilian government denials, the "triple border region" of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina has become haven for Islamic extremists, where they conceal themselves within a growing, prosperous Islamic community. The area has porous borders and a severe lack of policing, making it a safe haven for Islamic terrorist organizations.
In 2002, the US State Dept. issued a report which revealed that Hezbollah et al were using bases in the area to raise millions of dollars a year through criminal enterprises. The report also mentioned Al Qaeda in the area.

Also reporting on South American jihadism was the US Drug Enforcement Administration. Asa Hutchinson of the DEA remarked that "the two major terrorist organizations in the tri-border area are Hexbollah and Hamas...Their suspected illegal activities range from producing counterfeit US currency to smuggling illegal substances through the tri-border area. Hutchinson also testified in the House International Relations Committee that the terrorist activities have gone on unhindered.

Also in 2002, Miguel Angel Toma, an agent of SIDE, Argentina's intelligence service, visited Washington, Berlin, London, and Paris to wrn officials about the growing danger of Islamic terrorists in the triple border region, and how jihadists moved their operations from the Middle East to South America.

There have also been notable Muslim terrorist attacks in the triple border region.

    1. Bombings of the Israeli embassy and Jewish cultural center in Buenas Aires.

    2. Lebanese national Sobhi Mahmoud Fayad arrested for planning to bomb the US embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay.

    3. Fayad arrested again in 2001 for funding Hezbollah and recruiting for them. He went to prison.

    4. Arrests of Al-Said Hassan Hussein Mokhles & Mohammed Ibrahim Soleiman in Chui, Uruguay, Molhles had trained with Al Qaeda and set up terror cells in in Foz. He was also accused by Egyptian authorities in Cairo for complicity in an attack that murdered 58 tourists in Luxor, Egypt.

    5. Counterterrorism agents in Asuncion. arrested Salah Yassin, a Lebanese, and nephew of Hezbollah leader Sheik Yassin. Salah was on his way to bomb Israeli targets.

    6. 16 Lebanese nationals entered Paraguay illegally - all were arrested.

    7. In Oct. 2001, agents raided a store in Cuidad del Este, Paraguay, arrested 2 radical Muslims, and found documents linking the store owner Ahmed Assad Barakat with Hezbollah. Among them was a letter from Hassan Nasrallah (Secretary-General of Hezbollah) thanking Barakat for contributions from the triple border. Evidence showed Barakat had sent $50 Million to Hezbollah, for 6 years, amd that Barakat's cell phone planned the Buenas Aires bombings. He was apprehended in Brazil and extradited to Paraguay in 2004.

In June 2002, the OAS adopted the Inter-American Convention Against Terrorism. This was legally binding but ineffective because Brazil was reluctant to act on it. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was more interested in economic ties with Middle Eastern countries than crime in hos own. He flew all over the ME visiting one terrorist haven country after another (Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Lybia, and the United Arab Emirates. He also opposed the US sanctions outlined in the Syria Accountability & Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act that Georg Bush signed in 2004.

Bolivia is another country where the virus of radical Islam has spread to. In 2005, ABI, the Bolivian state news agency reported that 16 Muslim radicals were arrested at the Viru Viru airport from atip from french authorities. They has planned to hijack a plane to attack US targets. Another 9/11, but foiled.

SO, yes, Islam has spread to South America, as the title of this thread reads. And it has spread there in some very dangerous and nasty ways indeed.

"Patterns of Global Terrorism: 2001" US Dept. of State, May 2002. http://news.findlaw.com/hdocs/docs/dos/trrpt2001/

The first thing you need to learn about Muslims is that, with them, numbers don't mean much. Actually, with any totalitarian group looking for supremacy, that is the case. The Nazis were a small minority in Germany, but they took over the country, and threatened the world, and it took a world war to stop them. Same with the Japanese imperialists.

In the case of radical Muslims, one single individual could kill millions of people, in a large city, with a suitcase nuke. And where is Adnan Shukrijumah ? Still on the loose. So much for %s of the population. And yeah, Stealth Jihad ? Know what that means ? That'll be your next quiz.

Not as fascinating as Escape from Slavery by Francis Bok, which is about Muslim slavery NOW, not 1000 years ago. It also tells of the extreme racism that Muslim Arabs have for black Africans, referring to them as "abeds".
The word abed in Arabic means black. It also means slave. An example of how deeply entrenched slavery is in the Islamic world (1400 years ago, 1000 years ago, and right now).

90% of Muslims beleive that the extremeist version of Islam that people like Osama Bin Laden taught was a wrong.

The fanatics make up a minority in the entire Muslim population.,...JUst like the do in the Christian population.

I've studied islam. The parts of the Quran that talking about killing non beleivers is a mistranslation. The Quran, just like the Bible is full of them, when it comes to english versions. Most Muslims interpit it as meaning "those who attack Islam". Which is commonly accepted as anyone who openly attacks Muslims because of their religion or invades muslims countries without provocation (Which Iraq technically was)

It doesn't matter what Muslims believe. America has no friends among the Muslims.
