I feel no shame from your sighs. You're wasting your breath.

    You mean "capisce"?

Is a fetus a part of a woman's body, or distinct? If it's distinct, why should she have the right to kill it?

The Constitution is just a set of laws made by men. Slavery was legal back then too, does that justify slavery? You have to say yes to be consistent.

Why does that matter? Just because she's the mother, she can end the life of the fetus? Why does being the mother confer special ethical abilities like that?

Yes, because ultimately it is her body, her fetus, her life that is being affected. Hell, even if my own partner found out she was pregnant and said she wanted an abortion, fine by me. I'd even pay for it myself. Granted, I have a slight bias towards abortion because I myself do not want children, period. If I were a woman who did not want children and found myself pregnant and unable to get an abortion because someone else I don't even know has a problem with it, I would be LIVID.

"Oh, this woman I don't know wants to abort a pregnancy and it really doesn't affect me in any way whatsoever? Better not allow that!"

How does that change the ethics of the situation? I know your conclusion, what is the argument?

Better question, why do you care what someone does with their body if it doesn't affect you?

What ethics? Whose ethics? The only "ethics " that count are the woman's.

I'm not concerned with what the woman does with her body. I'm concerned with what she does to the body of the fetus.

    Why? Because you say so?

Because that's how it works..... What's wrong is that the pro-choice crowed is so pro-abortion but so offended about the realities of the procedure.

If you're going to be pro-choice at least understand the procedure.

Hell, these abortion "doctors" do what is called a "blind abortion" - you know why? because the alleged "fetus" is indeed alive.

Being the mother ( which a woman isn't until she gives birth) DOESN'T confer special ethics or special abilities .

They aren't "special", everyone has a right to their own body, even women..

Because it's not THEIR body, the woman is nothing more than a host.

You do understand the baby has a body and the baby is it's own individual do you not?

Do you understand the statute of First Degree Murder? well abortion meets that criteria.

Being attached to someone's body doesn't make it her body. The fetus has its own distinct DNA.

Well unless you're a moral relativist, I'm asking for objective standards here. Same rules for everyone.

Why? Without providing arguments, you're proving what you thought was "insulting" a few days ago.

Hey, everyone has a right to expel parasites from their body, man and woman alike.

Obviously you don't capiche or capisce or capeesh for that matter!

    http://www.dictionary.com/browse/capiche

Yes, all of those spellings are equally valid.

A fetus is ATTACHED to the woman's body therefore she does have the right to terminate the attachment.

Must she seek your permission to have surgery to remove a tumor? How about having a tooth pulled?

What superior right do you have to arbitrarily dictate what women can and cannot do with their bodies?

Your facile strawman was ignored because it was off topic.

Finally, a real argument. That's the only convincing pro-choice argument I've come across. Well done.

    <Off Topic/Flame-bait>

    That's a non-sequitur.

Tumors and teeth are part of the woman's body. The fetus is distinct with it's own DNA and personhood.

Do you need anyone's permission to donate a kidney?

Your kidney has a right to life and by donating it to someone who is very sick you are substantially shortening the life of the kidney so how can it be "ethical" for you to shorten the life of the kidney? Who gave you those "special ethical abilities" over you kidney's life?

    - - - Updated - - -

Explain exactly how it is "ethical" for you to arbitrarily impose your beliefs on someone else who doesn't share them?

So you would charge, try and execute women who had abortions?

Because that's totally what I said

Why do you think the fetus has no rights?

This is just part of your emotional defense, and contributes nothing to the discussion.

    Well that's ironic to say.

So what? Why do you get rights by sliding out of a vagina?

    No, it doesn't.

I appreciate the compliment. To be honest, my approach to the situation is apathy. Things that don't directly have an affect on my life aren't a big deal to me. My overall views are as follows: Women should be able to get an abortion if they so choose, be it situations of accidental pregnancy, rape, the fetus has some kind of condition that seriously hinders their quality of life, the pregnancy jeopardizes the life of the mother, or they just simply do not want a child. However, I do have reservations as well. I do not agree with a woman going to get an abortion every two months because they can't make responsible life choices. I also do not agree with late term abortions barring situations where the mother's life is threatened. I do not agree with these things, but they still do not impact my personal life in any way beyond what my opinion on them is. They are still not my choice to make.

Your kidney is part of your body. A fetus is not part of your body.

We "arbitrarily" impose our belief that murder is unethical on murders, who I'm sure don't share our belief that murder is wrong. Do you object to that as well? Will you double down on what you said and stay consistent, or admit you're wrong?

    - - - Updated - - -

I'm just going to cut to the chase and argue the same way you guys are, because despite my best efforts to hold a real conversation about this, you guys aren't playing ball.

I'm right, you're wrong. End of discussion.
