Sorry I was assuming English was your first language. "Like it's their day job" is a phrase Americans use when we are talking about something happening very often. IE: "Man, that dude chugs beer like it's his day job!" Let me know if you have any more questions. Happy to explain the expression further.
That's the pablumized version. Try study up the 1953 coup d'etat run by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Iranian_coup_d'état kicking out the democratically elected government in favor of the Shah. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Mosaddegh These people were righteously ticked off. It wasn't about FREEDOM nor containing communism. It was about securing Iranian oil. Similar to 1949 Syrian coup d'état 1949–1953 Albania 1953 Iranian coup d'état 1954 Guatemalan coup d'état 1956–57 Syria crisis 1957–58 Indonesian rebellion 1959–2000 Cuba, assassination attempts on Fidel Castro 1959 Cambodian "Bangkok Plot" 1960 Congo coup 1961 Cuba, Bay of Pigs Invasion 1961 Cuba, Operation Mongoose 1961 Dominican Republic 1963 South Vietnamese coup 1964 Bolivian coup d'état 1964 Brazilian coup d'état 1966 Ghana coup d'état 1971 Bolivian coup d'état 1970–73 Chile 1979–89 Afghanistan, Operation Cyclone 1980–92 Angola, UNITA 1981–87 Nicaragua, Contras 1982 Chad 1996 Iraq coup attempt 2000 Yugoslavia 2004 Haiti 2011–2017 Syria, Timber Sycamore And remains missing from the list! And then several decades later when the "people" hate We forgot why. Like Latin Americans spitting on Vice President NIXON. While JFK was President, Khrushchev railed they would never let occupy Archangel again and no one knew what he was talking about. After WW1 occupied Archangel, Russia to hold it against the Reds in favor of the Whites. They remember, we don't. Do YOU? Moi
The American-imposed Shah was an oppressive fascistic dictator with a fearsomely violent secret police. Turned out the alternative was as bad, if not worse. They made a bad choice, but at least it was theirs to make.
Yeah sure. Rogue elements and the deep state. where do you get this stuff. Is there a fruit loop conspiracy website we should all know about?
I don't know exactly what playing the foil is unless it is really playing both sides which is what Saudi Arabia is actually doing. Now thevarchitecture is quite something I have to admit although the money might be better spent on the welfare of the people. But at least they aren't tacky enough to have gold plated bathroom fixtures.
In 1953 their Good, Civilized choice was ended by Religion was the only organized means of creating a political force. No political parties were viable under the Shah.
You have given us the popular outline of the 1953 coup but it leave the impression that we forced the shah to overthrow his prime minister But it aint so We and the british assisted the shah but it was his show
How come it took you so long to figure that out? I always give credit to your intelligence but this one doesn't look good on you bro... You're smart enough to know he's one of those below average trolls... He can't even be consistent with what he says about the simplest stuff... Just like Jeannette, he's inconsistent too...
Hope you won't regret it Kimberly... You should be careful about where you sleep and who you sleep with... Regards; Ad Hominus...
Well the Saud and Sunni are the opposite of the coin of Iran and the Shia. So its obvious why they play foil to each other. Of course Iran is also playing both sides of the field. Except Iran isn't in an Alliance with the US. To bad for them.
I think you're right... The trick, I’ve found, is to use good, fresh tomatoes on the vine and good quality ingredients. Duh, right? Starting with fresh tomatoes and taking the little bit of time to cook them down and release their flavors makes a BIG difference. You’ll be shocked at how flavorful some tomatoes and a few veggies can be when stewed together in a pot for about 20 minutes. Seriously. Then, once all the fresh vegetables and herbs (tomatoes, red onion, carrot, garlic, and basil) are nice and tender, you blend them all up into a puree of liquid gold, otherwise known as this cream of fresh tomato soup recipe we’ve got right here. So yum. If you happen to have an immersion blender to make the blending even easier, then life is all the better. If you don’t a kitchen blender will do the trick, but will need to be pureed in batches. Seriously though…is there anything better than fresh creamy tomato soup on a cold day? Tomato soup is SUCH a comfort food for me. I’m sure it can’t be as good as my memories serve, but just a simple can of Campbell’s tomato soup used to be a favorite treat when I was growing up. Especially as Fall starts, I find myself longing for those cherished bowls of tomato soup accompanied by a hot grilled cheese sandwich. So, let’s make some homemade creamy tomato soup. Whose with me? Guys.THIS delicious cream of tomato soup recipe is my everything right now. Oh. My.Goodness. LOVE.
He says in this economy he got two separate jobs; day and night... Bills don't pay themselves ya know... I know you're strange to this concept but people got real jobs ya know... Most of us are not as lucky as you earning Chinese yuans for trolling here. We wish tho ... : (
Nust cntinue to support the shah What carter did was signal his lack of support and it was all downhill after that
It was? Who reached that conclusion? Was it because the perpetrators were Saudis? Is it intelligent to conclude citizens of a country act only on their government's behalf? I get the impression critical lefties disfavor Saudi Arabia because it has maintained strong ties to the US, I know they prefer to support governments which do not have strong ties or are at all supportive of the US. What the Saudis did is unquestionably outrageous and should be condemned, but Saudi Arabia is an important ally in vital concerns of the US, it cannot be sensibly argued the US should excessively sever relations, impose embargoes, impose sanctions or otherwise ostracise the Kingdom. I advocate a more intelligent approach; convey displeasure, demand correction, sanction those responsible, demand some public act of contrition, but consider the influence Saudi Arabia has across the Muslim world, their efforts to contain Iranian expansionism and the generally positive efforts of this new prince. I think MBS needs to be reigned in and it appears King Salman is already doing so, the prince needs to understand he cannot send goons to torture and slaughter citizens anywhere, no matter how much money they've got. I'm pleased with MBS' efforts to diversify the Kingdom's economy, promote jobs, restrain extremism, embrace modernity... but think he needs to realize this effort also entails greater respect for human rights and the rule of law.
It's called connecting the dots. What official hit squad could possibly carry out such an inept and obvious murder? Once you understand that the next thing you have to wonder is why did they want to be found out. The final dot is the prince is hated by the entrenched power in Saudi that he is trying to modernize.
Funny fellow - it wasn't that the colloquialism was difficult to understand - is gibberish your first language ?
Now what are your blubbering about - you still butt-hurt from getting schooled the last time we met ?
