I'm happy you are not surprised. Because most right wingers INACCURATELY believe that it's "skin color" alone the cause of these problems.

Do people coming into the country ("illegals") bring an increased share of disease? Can you support your answer?

    Irrelevant.

The issue is whether her statement is racist which it was not in any way shape or form.

Sorry the truth isn't racist. It's just the truth whether you like it or not doesn't matter a damn. What is racist is to suggest that somehow black and brown people are exempt from basic biology.

Her statement that illegals are bringing in disease is false, and therefore it makes an unjust, false, disparaging accusation and insult on a RACE. That makes it racist.

You cannot persuade anyone of your opinion when your opinion is contradictory to fact and truth. It only makes it a false statement.

Not to those with a basic understanding of English. Those calling it "racist" only reveal their own prejudice thinking that only one race come across the border.

Who said anything about an increased share? What the hell does that even mean? We shut down travel from Europe over covid and you serriously want to contend that checking illegal entrants for covid is some how racist? Puuhlease!!!

    Wrong.

It is not probably false and it is not about race at all.

Your clarge of racism is a cowardly lie and that is proven fact.

Even if it were a false statement, which you cannot prove, it was not racist whatsoever.

"COVID"? Not COVID. The issue is that she said immigrants and asylum-seekers are “bringing all kinds of diseases” into the country.

Now can you answer my question?

They do. Covid is only one. Any decent virologist or epidemiologist will tell you that their are all sorts of diseases endemic to that part if the world that we do not have here and vice versa.

There is no such thing as race. Not to those with a basic understanding of genetics and anthropology.

The racism in her remarks are quite obvious. I'm sure they are not understood by two types of people: racists, and those who just refuse to accept facts that are right in front of them. I must clarify, to comply with forum rules, that I don't think you are part of the first group.

There was nothing racist in her statement. One would have to believe that those coming in through our south border are all one race to claim she was referring to race.

Anyway, I am not a fan of hers.

Facts are that central and South America don’t have the same level of vaccinations, inoculations and health care we have. There are diseases that exist in other countries to our south that don’t really exist here.

    Facts are facts.

They ARE all of one race: The Human Race! It's the only "race" that exists in humans.

Your problem is that you fail to understand what "racism" IS. Racism has nothing to do with reality. It's an arbitrary characterization of a group of human beings that somebody wants to belittle for no other reason than being perceived as not being "white Christian Americans" (the dominant ethnic group in this country). Regardless of what it is that characterizes that group of human beings. It can be religion, it can be skin color, it can be as simple as how they enter the country! This last one is the case here. Why is she singling them out "as a group"? There is no evidence whatsoever that they spread more Covid (or any other disease) than anybody else. In fact, there is more evidence that Trump followers that assist to Trump events and those who refuse to wear a mask (because their "idol" mocks people who wear masks) are immensely more likely to spread Covid and keep the pandemic alive (and the economy struggling) far longer than it needs to be. So why single out undocumented immigrants?

So you imagined racism in her statement. Now to your next claim, all you have to do is show a significantly higher rate of infection among Republicans to have a valid point. Since we know you did your research in advance, you should have the link ready to post.

WTF are you talking about? You actually believe that somebody keeps a record of the party affiliation of people who are infected?

Dear God! Next time, please remind me not to waste my time explaining something to you as if you were a serious poster.

But you cannot document it any more than Pirro did, so it's racist as the OP says. Thanks for illustrating my point.

But you can't document that any more than @garyd can, right?

You claimed such records exist when you said:

"In fact, there is more evidence that Trump followers that assist to Trump events and those who refuse to wear a mask (because their "idol" mocks people who wear masks) are immensely more likely to spread Covid and keep the pandemic alive (and the economy struggling) far longer than it needs to be. "

    So where is this evidence?

The fact that you even consider it possible to keep party affiliation of those infected says quite a bit about you.

No! It's not anywhere near what I said. I said there is more evidence that TRUMP EVENTS spread Covid than there is that immigrants.

    Focus!

If I show you evidence, will you acknowledge that I did? Or would I just be wasting my time because you're going to continue denying that there is more evidence that Trump events cause infections than there is that undocumented immigrants do regardless of the facts?

I don't want to keep wasting my time taking you seriously and then you just ignoring it because it doesn't suit your pro-Trump dogma. Like when you wanted arguments as to why Pirro's comments were racists, I explained why, and you just ignored my explanation and started THIS new nonsense.

Well, I voted against Trump twice and corrected you several times on this issue.

Pirro made no reference to race. I did enjoy your philosophy on race. I agree and will bring it up in the reparations thread.

Now I will look at evidence that Republicans have a significantly higher rate of infection.
