Judge Ellis ordered him moved anyway.

In Northern Neck he had a VIP suite, a laptop, phone, private shower, and access to his lawyers from 8:30 am to 10 pm. So much for "solitary confinement". It is unclear if he will get that in Alexandria.

Moral of story: Be careful what you ask for.

In the Alexandria jail, he'll probably have a hot tub, daily massage, and turn down service... White collar time is pretty much the same anywhere...

This says it all - “It is surprising and confusing when the counsel identifies a problem and then opposes the most logical solution to that problem,” Ellis wrote Wednesday.

Remember when Ellis was Trump's favorite judge? :roflol:

How odd is it when you win a motion in court and an hour later you file a motion opposing that order?

"Attorney" Rudy must be moonlighting on the Manafort defense team while "PR" Rudy continues his vicious onslaught against logic and reason on TV for Trump.... It's all I can figure....

You don't figure Manafort gets his Virginia trial moved to Roanoke, do ya?? I think that would be a hardship for the Mueller prosecutors working on that case.....

Imprisoned without conviction of anything; no risk of flight; no threat to anyone.

    Blatant violation of his rights.

How so? The Mueller prosecutors are working out of OUR POCKETS, not their own.

For 2 reasons... if they have to travel to Roanoke, there's the expense of hotels, eating and travel to Magic City. Also, I don't know the disposition of the Manafort prosecutors so it's possible some are working on other aspects of the Trump/Russia collusion case at the same time.... we wouldn't want that investigation delayed, would we?

Of course, IF the prosecutors are just assigned to Manafort for the duration of the trials AND they get a good deal at the Roanoke Best Western.....it's still unlikely the trial still will be moved out of Alexandria.... :)

He was out on bail, but violated the terms of his release multiple times. Even then he was given a VIP suite and now he screwed that up.

It is truly unreal that this is happening in America......a 69 year old man with no criminal convictions is rotting in solitary confinement 23 hours a day. Where are the ACLU, SPLC and all the other leftist 'civil rights' groups?????

Really? What court did they prove that?

Go ahead, I dare you to answer with actual evidence.

These proceedings would have made Stalin uncomfortable. It is truly unimaginable that it is happening in the USA........with almost no resistance from the media or any civil rights group.......and this is with Trump in the WH and a 'conservative' Congress. Imagine how bad it will be when the likes of Hillary and Obama get back in power.....

And check this URL out... Don't think that Manafort isn't clever enough to beat Virginia jail rules...

    SNIP
While in prison, Manafort also has access to a laptop to review documents and prepare for his trial, and the jail has “made extra accommodations” for Manafort to use the computer, including an extension cord that lets him work in his cell so he doesn’t have to go to the separate workspace.

Manafort is not allowed to send or receive emails while in jail. But Mueller’s prosecutors said Manafort “appears to have developed a workaround.” During his monitored phone calls, Manafort has told people he reads and composes emails on a second laptop that his lawyers have “shuttled in and out” of the jail. Then his lawyers sent the messages after they’ve left the prison.

The trial judge decided that. Manafort didn't even contest the facts.

Are you familiar with the US justice system? What system do they have in your country?

    Defending a criminal eh??

The superseding indictment — the third against Manafort issued by a Washington, D.C., federal grand jury — came days after Mueller asked a judge to revoke Manafort's $10 million bail and jail him because of alleged efforts to tamper with potential witnesses at his upcoming trials.

Charge her and her gang of criminals!

FOUR YEARS of never-ending hearing, investigations, gnashing of teeth from a Republican Congress and then added a "Republican" President, and the Republicans FAIL in "getting Hillary"!

God, Republicans are going to have to admit Hillary wasn't a criminal and most of Trump's Cabinet and his hires ARE CRIMINALS!

And day by day, more and more of Trump's criminals are going to jail!

    Happy Day!

$50 billion Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff was given bond. seems to be some vindictive score settling involved with this case.

I don't know about that, but after reading this, I do know he'd rather be back at Club Fed in Northern Neck

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018...itions-northern-virginia-mueller-probe-716841

He's lost a little weight... I knew jail life would be good for him

    manafort-mugshot-exlarge-169.jpg

Do ya'll want to cry again how Manafort is separated from his children and he's innocent until proven guilty and yadda yadda yadda??

    Feel free...
