Mexico is already buckling to Trump, this would completely get them to comply.

And honestly, Mexico should not be allowing these migrants to trespass through their territory just to get to the US.

Trump Republicans in Congress support Trump's attempt's to limit the power of Congress.

Now Trump has announced that he will close the southern border next week if Mexico doesn't do what he says, causing an enormous negative impact on our economy. Trump Republicans in Congress are silent.

Are you serious? First of all he's using a negotiation tactic. I'm fully aware that the left has no idea how to use those but that's what he's doing.

Second of all, if we had a wall and we could stem the illegal immigration ourselves, we wouldn't have any need to shut down the southern border would we?

 

What makes you think "closing the border" means closing it to commercial traffic?
