Yadda yadda yadda. And how much crap has Trump gotten away with that any other bloke would have been removed from office? So don't give me your high on the horse BS.

And, by the way, What did Clinton lie to congress about?

    Sex.

Excuse me, but as a member of the male species I can tell you on very good authority that males, when it comes to the subject of sex, would lie to God, himself, let alone congress.

The charges for which Clinton was impeached stemmed from a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against Clinton by Paula Jones.

In democrats view, Congress had no business impeaching a president for something that had nothing to do with his official duties of office, such as national security, etc., for which Trump was impeached. He certainly wasn't impeach for the 25 women who accused him of sexual misconduct, which, if he were asked to appear before congress ( he has NEVER appeared before congress, both Clintons have) you know damn will he'd lie, and lie incessantly like the incessant liar he is. But, if he did that, then we'd have to remove him from office, and God forbid we would do something mighty wonderful and good for the nation like that. Well, the voters tossed him, thank god for the voters.

Wow you sure have all the conspiracies covered tonight

    • The Clintons were cleared of any wrongdoing, but several of their associates faced felony convictions.
    • The Whitewater scandal was a real estate controversy involving Bill and Hillary Clinton that came to public attention in the 1990s.
    • The Clintons partnered with James and Susan McDougal to purchase 230 acres of land to build and sell vacation homes.
...The real estate venture eventually failed, costing the Clintons a reported $46,000 in losses. Bill Clinton was elected governor a short time later in 1978. James McDougal subsequently entered the banking industry in 1980, forming Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan two years later.

But it wasn't actually the investment venture between the Clintons and the McDougals that caused the controversy. In fact, it was a series of events that happened later that triggered the investigation.

    The Whitewater Investigation

In 1986, federal regulators investigated another real estate investment. This was a construction project called Castle Grande, which was backed by James McDougal. The investigation led to McDougal's resignation from Madison Guaranty and the eventual collapse of the bank. Its failure cost the government $73 million as it was insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Allegations surfaced during the investigation, which was led by special prosecutor Robert B. Fiske, that Clinton pressured David Hale (former president of a small business investment firm) into making a loan for the Whitewater deal. Other allegations came out, implying Clinton's gubernatorial campaign debts were paid off by Madison through McDougal. Fiske issued a grand jury subpoena to President Clinton and his wife for documents related to Madison Guaranty.

The Clintons initially reported the records as missing. The documents were eventually found and cleared the Clintons of any wrongdoing.

The investigation continued, however, with Kenneth Starr at the helm and businessman David Hale as the star witness. Starr alleged that Bill Clinton, during his term as governor of Arkansas, pressured Hale to make an illegal $300,000 federally-backed loan to Susan McDougal. The allegation lost much of its credibility after Hale was convicted of numerous felonies.

    Outcome

All three inquiries into the Whitewater land deal yielded insufficient evidence to charge the Clintons with criminal conduct. However, several of their associates were convicted as a result of the investigations including James McDougal, who was convicted of fraud and conspiracy charges in 1997 relating to loans made with Madison.

The Starr investigation went beyond the Whitewater scandal to include several other controversies involving the Clintons, as well as the Lewinsky sex scandal, which led to his
impeachment and charges of perjury and obstruction of justice following the 1996 presidential election. Clinton was later acquitted by the Senate of both charges.

BJ BILL WAS NEVER ACCUSED BY PAULA JONES OF ASSAULT, YOU MIGHT BE THINKING OF THAT OTHER EX PREZ, DJ TRUMP?

A former Arkansas state employee, Jones sued United States President Bill Clinton for sexual harassment in 1994. In the initial lawsuit, Jones cited Clinton for sexual harassment at the Excelsior Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 8, 1991.

Paula Jones: The Right ‘Used Me’

At least 26 women accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct, including assault, since the 1970s.

I voted against Trump twice and believe he committed impeachable offenses, so I think I'll remain on my horse.

Clinton lied under oath. That's perjury.

And subornation of perjury, obstruction of justice and witness tampering in that federal civil rights lawsuit over a male boss sexually assaulting and harassing a subordinate female employee. Clinton should have been removed. Starr clearly showed the 11 felonies he wanted to prosecute, there was no denying it was a prima facie case. The Dems simply turned their heads and refused

Yes the FELONIES he committed in a federal court during that federal civil rights lawsuit and then in the investigation of the the perjury he committed before a federal grand jury.

Lewd behavior by a President makes them subject to extortion. He violated his oath of office by committing felonies trying to hide acts that involved him being the President and the Executive Officer at the White House and abuse of that power. He was not impeached for a person sexual matter although IMHO a President who engaged in the acts he did in his capacity as the President and with subordinate employees should have resigned and not doing that be removed from office for putting the government at risk for such sexual harassment lawsuits either from a victim or someone suing for creating a hostile workplace.

Perhaps you forget how it started. Linda Tripp was being pressured by Lewinsky and through her Clinton to lie under oath in her upcoming deposition. Lewinsky realized she had spilled the beans and if she and Clinton were going to lie then she had to go along with it. Tripp did NOT want to become a felon and she knew what Clinton could do to ruin her if she didn't go along. So she protected herself and took clear evidence that felonies had occurred to the only person she believe she could trust with it, someone outside the DOJ but with prosecutoral power who might be able to protect her. That was the Independent Counsel Ken Starr. The false affidavit Lewinsky and Clinton submitted into the federal lawsuit was prima facie evidence of FELONIES,

So what exactly do you think was supposed to happen at that point? An officer of the court, a federal prosecutor is handed clear evidence the President of the United States was committing multiple felonies and more to come. He told his FBI detail to check it out. Get Ms. Lewinsky on tape verifying what was happening. They did. She did. Starr took it to the AG Reno, said you got a problem I don't want it we are wrapping up. She said NOPE, since you have already been investigating the Clintons including multiple perjury and obstruction of justice and it would require another OIC to be named your office will handle it.

And they did and as CAN HAPPEN they brought forth 11 felon charges against the President seeking impeachment and removal so they could begin the prosecution.

This has NOTHING to do with Trump and noting you can assert about Trump could possibly mitigate what Clinton did. So stick to the subject here.

So you maintain that male bosses should be able to get away with sexually assaulting and sexually harassing their employees and committing perjury and obstruction of justice and subornation of perjury and witness tampering when they are sued?

It had everything to do with his official duties. Lewinsky was his official subordinate employee. The sex happened in an official government office during official working hours. He created a hostile workplace by rewarding or offering special treatment to subordinate employees who granted him sexual favor. He tried to suborn the perjury of a government employee. He tampered with the subordinate employee witness he had asked to hide the gifts he had given to the other subordinate employee for her sexual favors. He employed the time of the UN Representative, a federal employee, to try and find a really good job for the subordinate employee who was granting him sexual favors as an attempt to keep her quiet and go along with his perjury plot. He tried to use his position as President to get out of testifying and even being sued and then charged.

It was NOT some PRIVATE affair to begin with. And he was required to give testimony about ANY such sexual activity with ANY subordinate employee under the Molinari amendment which HE signed into law.

Why do you think anything Trump did mitigates what Clinton did? It does not stick to the subject HERE.

ROFLMAO they were "cleared" by any means. They could not be prosecuted because of the 4 key witnesses one died under mysterious circumstances, one committed suicide and the two others when to jail refusing to testify, one of whom Clinton pardoned as he left office the other he couldn't because he had been caught on the infamous prison tape telling his wife it would all be OK he just had to rollover one more time. Sounds like an episode of "Ozark". And I know all about the Whitewater/Castle Grande real estate deals you do not need to detail it. The fact is McDougal drove his Madison Guaranty savings into the ground, needed money for it and Whitewater and Castle Grande so he got his buddies the Clintons to arraign a fake SBA loan to get $300,000 dollars. It was the RTC that made the criminal referral to the DOJ that started the investigation. And as a result 20 people were charged with felonies including Gov. Jim "Guy" Tucker, Deputy Attorney General Webb Hubble, and the Legal Counsel to the President would but he committed suicide because he knew he would be disbarred and be going to jail.

Yea the missing billing records, the property of the United States Government. The billing records the Legal Counsel to the President was illegally working on to try and cover up for his best friend Hillary and were illegally secreted out of his office by Bernie Nussbaum the night of his suicide. The ones that just someone as if by magic showed up over a year later on Hillary's dining room table.

And yes Clinton was accused by Jones of sexual assault the statute of limitations had run out and she was left, just barely as it was running out too, the sexual harassment lawsuit. That lawsuit was dismissed because Jones could not prove "harm" and come up it. She was only threatened but did not get fired and received her regular pay raises. THEN came the Burlington decision which a woman should not have to prove actual harm, else bosses could just continue to hit on subordinate employees and as long as they didn't cause them "harm" the employee had no recourse. Jones refiled her lawsuit and Clinton having no defense settled to the tune of $900,000 and her legal fees. According to Hillary bankrupting them.

With all due respect, you're talking facts and that's a rather 90s approach to justice. We are now in the 2020s and justice revolves around political narratives, not facts. Please pull your act together and get on board with the new, improved, enlightened, perfected system of AMERICAN justice!!!

I meant in the sense that in France, a man with a girl friend on the side isn't considered that big of a deal, or so I've heard. I was thinking of Lewinsky.

As for Paula Jones, that was a civil matter, not the kind of case a prosecutor would want to tackle, let alone it being against the President, but it had nothing to do with national security, unless you want to argue a foreign country could blackmail Clinton , but that became a moot point when she sued him and it was out in the open, but I note that 25 women accused Trump, and repubs were silent on that. Again, the impeachment charges against Arose out of the PJ civil court case by Starr. And, if you want to argue 'lying to congress', what was the lie about? Sex. He denied having sex with Lewinsky (because he didn't think oral sex was sex, but of course, he was wrong). Excuse me, but the male species will lie to God, himself, about sex, let alone congress, which they had no business impeaching him for in the first place, at least that was their view when Trump became president given that Republicans were totally okay with his lying about 25 women who accused him. But, that inconsistency apparently is lost on you. also, Clinton was acquitted, and rightfully so. If Paula could successfully sue Clinton, I'm fine with that, I never approved of any one committing sexual assault on anyone. Moreover, Trump's abuse of power and illegal and impeachable acts far surpassed anything ever committed by Clinton, and the Repub Senate wouldn't even allow a trial on the second impeachment.

He lied about sex. Excuse me, as a member of the male species I have it on good authority that the male will like to God, himself, let alone congress, on the subject of sex.

And, at least he appeared before Congress, Trump won't even appear.

Why? Because his lawyers know he will lie through his teeth and they won't let him appear.

Spare me your hypocrisy. Trump was accused by 25 women of sexual harassment, on of rape, and he even publicly bragged about **** he is being accused of and Republicans don't give a damn, only when it's a democrat to the seem to be bothered by it. Oh yeah, the Mueller Report has 10 clear cut obstructions of justice, and in fact, Trump has committed so many Crimes the DOJ has to figure out what to indict him on, there are so many. And now he is endangering national security of theft of national defense information documents and restricted date ( nuke ) docs.

    Give me a break.

I'm not defending clinton, I just wonder why those who accuse clinton are silent on Trumps' multitudinous crimes, which he committed out in the open, he makes Clinton look like a choir boy.

Got it you'll stick with myths and BS. This was a right wing funded witch hunt

"the Clintons -- who left the White House with an estimated $12 million in legal debts rung up during the Whitewater/Lewinsky scandals"

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/arch...ionspan/5d15cdda-98f8-4efb-b9c5-01e512c43972/

"After more than 4 1/2 years of scorched-earth legal warfare, Clinton and Jones brought a sudden end to the case with a four-page deal in which he acknowledged no wrongdoing and offered no apology"

"On November 13, 1998, Clinton settled with Jones for $850,000, the entire amount of her claim, sans apology, in exchange for her agreement to drop the appeal. Robert S. Bennett, Clinton's attorney, still maintained that Jones's claim was baseless and that Clinton only settled to end the lawsuit and move on. In March 1999, Judge Wright ruled that Jones would get only $200,000 from the settlement and that the rest of the money would pay for her legal expenses"
