I disagree. On my local news, I have seen quite a few stories about pedophilia in schools. For the most part, unless an episode stretches beyond a handful of geographically isolated cases, the national mainstream media will not cover it.

The correct response was, "Kranes, not all people eat dead babies, and not all priests molest. However, you're comparing him to an unknown party. Can you please tell me what party you're refering him to?"

I have had a job since I was 15 and have never been unemployed.

I have paid more in taxes then you will probably ever earn in your life.

Maybe you should have your dog read to you. This isn't anything like any 'war on children'. Quite the opposite in fact. It's the children that are being victimized by this insanity...I believe that the OP is trying to point that out. The poor little innocent things are given books and told to read to dogs. Why? So that they can avoid being corrected and actually taught something? They can somehow build their precious self esteem from the exercise? That's a real marketable commodity for the real world....

uh yeah really lol. but yes let us return to the story.

anyways if young kids actually show progress and they like reading more because of it, why not give it a shot?

why not? i mean if the kid feel comfortable and tries to actually learn to read and t shows good progress i dont see the big issue. nothing wrong with finding new ways for kids to learn and make the experience fun and comfortable.

Or maybe kids just like dogs and the reading doesn't mean a thing to them...when asked if they like it..they'll answer 'yes'...cause they like the dogs.

OK, if you're such an educated and wealthy man, why do act like such a troll on this forum?

And I agree. I think this would be much better then if the kids were alone reading to stuffed animals. A major and important differnce being one is alive.

yes i understand that, but this is just a study is it not? i mean if the study shows significant progress from this experiment why not showcase it in a few more places to see if it works as well?

nothing wrong with trying to help kids learn, and f this is one way kids improve their reading abilities then throw 101 dalmations in grade schools lol.

Sometimes when you point out how completely retarded people are they tend to think you may be trolling. I'm actually not trolling just trying to help some of the dumber people in society. You are welcome.

Never said I was a good speller or great at grammar but I am highly educated.

The funny thing is that my professors are always irritated with me for my lack of grammar skills.

Oh well what are you going to do?

Watcher, you have no idea how much education I have or how much money I make.

What I do know is that I went to college and got one degree. I didn't become a "professional schoolboy" and accumulate more useless degrees.

Who's paying for you to accumulate all these degrees?

Are you still tapping Mom and Dad, or are you sucking the government tit?

I've been working and paying taxes since 1989, so you can thank me for your government-subsidized education.

You look like a jackass when you boast about being "highly educated."

When you don't even know the basics of the English language, it makes you look like a stupid jackass.

Bad? :confuse: This may be strange, but only a lunatic would think this is bad!! It seems cute to me, and only right-wing curmudgeons would find anything about this to be particularly upset about!! If you told me this was the entire school curriculum, I might be inclined to agree, but it is JUST ONE PROGRAM!! It is harmless!!

It is not harmless to tell parents that they are wrong for correcting their children while they read.

On the contrary, it is insidious and evil to tell parents something like that.

Liberalism is the most destructive force ever unleashed on planet Earth.

You people have killed more people than the Nazis and you are giving the Communists a run for their money.
