The idea is based upon the passage from Ezekiel 34:30-31 where the God character is telling the Israelites how special they are and says that they are men because they are his people. It's heavy on the BS but some people built a religion off of it. What he is saying is that Jews spread so wide in the various exiles over 3000 years that they have become part of separate races, but still of Jewish origin. Pisa's comments are all written down in Jewish scriptures/writings. He/she is not making things up. There are certainly contradictions because various people interprete things differently.
