Did you actually listen to the 911 tape? Zimmerman got out of his car and chased the kid down. The dispatcher told him not to do it, but Zimmerman did it anyway.

Also Zimmerman was almost twice the kid's age, taller than him, and outweighed him by over a 100 lbs.

 

I heard it as well. The sooner this guy Zimmerman is arrested and pays for his crime the better. He's a racist and a murderer, and I can't believe the bastard isn't in a cell already.

No one I know uses racist epithets at all let alone all the time. If you are on the phone muttering racist epithets about a high school student who is a complete stranger and then execute him for no reason I have some bad news for you... you're a racist. I have even worse news for you. This guy is going down for a hate crime. A hate crime in which someone dies carries a sentence of life. He just screwed the pooch big time. If you call a high school student a "f**king coon" on a police audio tape and then execute him you're done. Tack onto that a long history of erratic and aggressive racial profiling and I don't see how a grand jury doesn't drop the hammer on this guy.

I too shied away from the whole race angle of this story... at first, but the evidence just kept piling up like cow poop in a pasture. The "they always get away" remark. The "f**king coons" remark. The ridiculous comment about the student being "up to no good," "on drugs," and "something is wrong with him." And of course the prior history of ridiculous racial profiling.

I listened to a bunch of the recordings when they were released. Listening to this guy mutter his nonsense on the police audio tape was not the most riveting part. The part where the poor kid begs for his life before he is executed left me shell shocked. Listening to his cries for help being silenced by the sound of a gun being fired was one of the most disturbing things I have ever heard in my life.

Did the cops let the suspects go and cover for them? That's awful. If there is evidence that they may have committed the crimes you describe they should be arrested and charged. You are right. If the police are letting people go without arresting them and covering up their crimes the feds should get involved. Do you have a link to this other story?

I believe specifically targeting certain groups based on ethnicity, nationality, or religion should certainly be against the law. Look at Iraq and the Balkans. You have to have a zero tolerance for that type of thing. The penalties may be too severe but that doesn't mean the laws should be scrapped. There will never be a race war in this country despite the wettest of right wing dreams. The feds simply will not allow it.

What does George having an African american ancestor have to do with his paranoia toward young Black men? What does his tutoring Black children (by the way, I wonder what this guy who is still trying in vain to get an associate degree at the age of 28 has to teach ANY children. . .) has to do with his profiling a teenager. And what does his trying to be a "hero" by appearing to care (when he probably was only looking for his 15 minutes of fame!) has to do with his choosing to shoot an unarmed teenager?

I don't think even the FBI could make out what he was saying. The word sounds like cold to me. I think that was a part of the race baiting to get the case into the spotlight.

Zimmerman is not 190lbs.m but 260lbs. or Treyvon is only 90lbs. or 160lbs.
