And you believe everything you read on the internet?

BTW, I'm a progressive (surprise!!) and I have not experienced what you are claiming.

Girls have been coming up with their own languages to giggle about boys for generations. The ebonics sounding term "mansplaining" could have used some work though if they want to be taken seriously.

does the op mean the man should have an opinion on what a woman does with her body?

if so, sure, but the woman in the end, gets to choose

I suppose some men like masculine woman, but most prefer feminine woman

and the opposite is true as well, most women prefer masculine men, not feminine men

to each their own though (as long as they are consenting adults)

    Poll is an absolute joke.
Who says men don't have a right to an opinion? More than any woman?

Is this a conspiracy theory thread in disguise? What's the point of this thread?

"no uterus no opinion" is commonly said with respect to abortion.

I voted for the third option, not because I want to be exterminated or enslaved, but because my life will be substantially more interesting when someone actually tries.

    Poll seems kinda silly.

Any time I have ever heard the word "mansplain" It is typically used by a woman against a man to avoid a point that threatens the world view of the woman.

It is kind of like when people say You are insecure or threatened by something. Another version of this is suggesting you are some sort of extremist or suffer from some form of phobia.

    It really is ad hominem.
Ad Hominem Fallacy | Definition & Examples (scribbr.com)

Back to mansplaining. this is a targeted attack on men taking advantage of men's desire not to be cast out among women. A lot of people take advantage of this because it works.

what you do to pull the teeth from these sorts of rhetorical fallacies is inform the person claiming the that you won't be shamed. it really sucks all the hot air out of their ballon.

Mansplaining is how people dismiss opinions men hold also how they dismiss arguments.

Back to opinions I guess, but define what a 'masculine' woman' is. Does she use power tools? Swear like a sailor? Wears jeans, work boots and a sawed off tshirt? A feminine woman wears dresses, heels, lipstick and sashays across the room? Stereotypes do not define individuals.

Think about your description of masculine/feminine men while you are on the subject.

yes, it's an opinion, but most women prefer a masculine man to a feminine one, the reverse is true as well, it is what it is

Nothing wrong with being outside the norm, but that is the norm

obviously there is a sliding scale, it's not 100% one or the other

but yes, if a man wears dresses, heels, lipstick and sashays across the room, he is probably more on the feminine side

I guess that depends on one's definition of the above, as I previously asked and you did not supply.

So for one person, they may consider my first example just fine for a woman, and that it doesn't affect her 'femininity', and someone else may be horrified. So to say one or the other is a definition of the external representation of the person within is false.

The last statement, I'll take as humor, since I did laugh. But context does matter, I've seen some damn good costumes on Halloween that would blow your socks off by men who are 'masculine' for all intents and purposes.

agree, and that is the point, most women want a man more masculine than they are... where ever that falls on the scale

No doubt, maybe this thread was started after a bottle of wine and this bizarre Gene Roddenberry flick.

If they are in a serious relationship with said pregnant person, of course they can offer an opinion.
But ultimately, the choice is the one who is pregnant.
The final choice in all things is the actual person. With input from others.
