Yeah just imagine...wow. Returning our country to the successful way of life we had is not hating this country. Saying America is the most racist country, or this is a country of "white supremacy" (actually just white majority), the founding fathers were all terrorists, or whatever sounds like you would be happier elsewhere. If you GENUINELY feel that bad for the native Americans and the "genocide", then move. This is especially true when you consider that most of the things people agitate for, free healthcare for example, already exist in other countries. If you want that, you can go to where it is. Then you would have your way of life and I would have mine. Apparently leaving me alone is never in the playbook.
If on the other hand, the thing you are agitating for is Americanism and traditional American values that made this country great in the first place, this seems like the place you should be.

I don't know you from other posters, so I will add that just in case you are a thoughtful person that actually considers the things said to them and aren't just looking to score some one liner, I get that considering the problems with this country or the blemishes on our history are important for conducting ourselves moving forward. I get that urge and the utility of it, I do. However, the past does not change. You pay money today, the past did not change. So someone born tomorrow is going to ask about their reparations. And their children might ask and so on. The history does not change, and you have shown you are willing to pay over and over for the same thing if guilt is used. 40 acres and a mule were reparations. The 14th amendment was reparations. We are all paid up. You can't let people take advantage of your good nature.

When it comes to the government providing money, by the time a dollar moves from the tax payer to the intended recipient, there is very little left. That means they have to deny workers more of the fruits of their labor, increasing slavery.

I recall you were one of those 'Hillary in a landslide' folks, forgive me while I chuckle at your predictions. Reparations is not a minor issue, and it will keep more Democrats home than anything. So long as the economy is good, the whole of the election is about minor things. Why just black descendants of slaves ?

The first slave owner in America was a black man who owned a white slave.

Many Native American Indian tribes owned slaves and were involved in slave trafficking into the 1890's.
Most were white slaves but also blacks.

What about the white descendants of indentured servants ?

It's well known now that Kamilla Harris's great grandmother owned a plantation and slaves.

But what about "Pochonunist" Elizabeth Warren ?
Did nay of her injun descendants ever owned captives (slaves) ?
