Evidently you don't.....like AOC your kind forgot Trees are fossil fuel. Make sure you read what Environmentalist says about your AOC and her Green New Deal.

Oh and then there is that Nuclear issue that could never happen in 10 years.

But I do understand how it devastates you in that you can't trick or coerce people into believing Government will control all now. Not after they find out whats in the bill. Even the lefts college kids aren't going for it.

Hmmmm Millennials and Environmentalists against. Then there will be all those Demos that will bail rather than show they voted for Communism Lite.

They're pretty upset that Sen McConnell doesn't want to let this laughing stock of a resolution, which they put their full weight behind without even knowing what it was, fade into memory.

Hm. What does the "free market" use to get their products to market and make a profit?

    Oh yeah. Public infrastructure.

Trees as a primary fuel source in sustainable environments is fine. In places where it isn't, don't you think its a good idea to replace it with a renewable, safe, low maintenance source of non-grid dependent energy?

what good is developing all this science and technology if we don't apply it with the same level of intelligence and inspiration to create a better richer, happier, healthier, productive local, national and global reality?

So says an article in the House Organ of the John Birch Society quoting a rather well-paid Stossel-like mouthpiece for the right

    No bias there

    https://www.politico.com/magazine/s...s-alive-and-well-in-the-lone-star-state-21537

And can't Senators simply abstain from voting?

It may not originate in government, but it sure as hell gets realized by government regulation and the laws of the land.

In the case of Kennedy's great challenge, it most definitely was government led and that began the digital revolution.

I grant that this "deal" needs some serious mark ups, but laying out a principled strategy to "re tool" America for the 21st century to maintain her leadership and competitive edge in her national industries both at home and around the world is something at least worthy of discussion as opposed to snearing dismissal.

Could anyone saying that this plan will eliminate air travel please point us to a credible citation of where the plan actually says specifically that.

Seems so. Google him. He hasn't been with Greenpeace since the 1970's.

Fer Crissake, using an article from the House Organ of the John Birch Society as the OP for this thread is like using Karl Marx to review Atlas Shrugs. You may not agree with either one but the outcome will be meaningless to any reasonable person

Why, what's there to debate? Is'not Green New Deal good for America? Let's vote, and watch how Republicans kill it and give Democrats an ultimate weapon to use against Trump in the election!!! :nana:

I believe most Bill's are debated before a vote is taken..

From the little I've read, this deal is designed to help the planet, of which America is just one (tiny, yet destructive) part... you guys need to remember that

Don't worry - the free market will take care of all that, as soon as there is demand.
You, on the other hand, prefer the mailed fist of the state implement these ideas w/o regard for their practicality or the freedom of the people.
After all, your ideas are so good, they must be mandatory.

No. America’ not tiny. America’s an everlasting idea, a shining light, a bright house on the hill.

And the abomination that was concocted by the Democrats is not to be debated; it’s to be laughed at, made fun of and made be associated with the Democrats forever to scare the living daylights out of young children, least they decide to become Democrats too.

Imagine, do away with airline travel in 10 years :wall:

It neither originates in the government nor is implemented by the government - people want what they want, and industry provides; if the government has any role, it is regulatory and nothing more, to ensure the rights of the people are protected.
The government - spurred on by the cold war and the need to keep ahead the Soviets, and thus the only entity with the needs to fill and the resources to pay for it - was the initial market; it created a demand that industry filled.
The government did not need to do anything for this technology to spill over to the private sector, which now drives demand and forces advancement.
However this "leadership and competitive edge" manifests itself, it is not found in anything related to the nonsense under discussion.

America is tiny, size wise and population wise, not greatness wise.

And they have imagined that for you... impossible to do everything in that short a time, but its visionary, unlike 'Wallboy'..

Visionary... like all electric cars by 2030... why do you defend these clowns? It’s not vision, it’s right out of “Up in Smoke”! probably inspired by the same stuff, too :D
