Weird. If you clink on you "here" it actually doesn't say what you posted it says. Doesn't say anything about getting rid of airplanes. And I missed the cow fart part. Perhaps you can provide the actual exerpts of her resolution that says those things.

I'm getting the impression that McConnell is having more fun today than he has in his entire career.

The Green New Deal is a big deal, potentially. I see no reason why the Senate shouldn’t express its view of the idea.

Ocasio-Cortez responded to McConnell by saying, in effect, bring it on. She stated:

[McConnell] is trying to bully the party and he’s banking on people not being courageous. I think people should call his bluff.

When McConnell banks on something, he usually has good reason to. This seems like a case-in-point.

Consider Sen. Sherrod Brown, one of the Senate’s most left-wing members and a potential candidate for president. Yesterday, he said he supports addressing “climate change aggressively,” but would not weigh in on the merits of the Green New Deal.

    Brown explained:

I’m not going to get in the position of every time somebody has a good idea or a big idea that I have to talk in great detail about my position on it.

If he runs for president, Brown should talk in detail about his position on big ideas. In any case, McConnell wouldn’t be asking Brown to talk in detail about his position. He’d only be asking him to take one.

Elizabeth Warren and Tulsi Gabbard, both presidential candidates, bobbed and weaved when asked about the Green New Deal, according to this account in the Washington Post. McConnell will do the electorate a favor if he forces them and others to take a stance (or to refuse to vote).

A vote would shed some light on the Democrat field. We don’t want our democracy to die in darkness.

I did. Obviously you haven't or you could quote the parts that are going to eliminate airplanes or cow farts. Your problem is it says nothing of the kind and that is why you cannot actually quote any patrs of the resolution thst say either of those things.

Hit your link and then compare with what you said the resolution said and be ashamed of yourself.

It is a goal. Why not just admit you lied about what the bill actually says. You should be able to argue about the substance of the bill if you disagree with it's goals without having to lie about what it actually says.

They better hold Democrats feet to the fire make them vote YES on it. After all, the world ends in ONLY 12 years!

The link wasn’t to the bill. We are talking about the reality of their goals. Keep up. Why are you lying about the results of their goals? And why are the Dems so mad about their bill and goals being published?

Sorry confused you with Stuart Wolfe who had the link and then lied about what it said. Not sure why you got involved defending his lying but so it goes.

And the reality is the goals are good and valid. The difficulty is your extrapolation of the result of striving to achieve the goals. Take an example. If twenty years ago your said your goal was to eliminate the internal combustion car engine doubters would have said we would all be riding horses. Now we can clearly do that and probably will. And in twenty or thirty years we may have planes that don't require fossil fuel. The fact that a goal isn't currently achievable is what makes it a goal.

Nope - the link is to what she posted on her own site. And I already included the quote in my post - it's on page two of her FAQ. But since you can't seem to find it, I'll quote it again:

I'm at a loss as to how he can't see what is clearly in front of him. She posted the thing. That's her plan.

Weird as I found it in a few minutes at that link. It was in FAQ’s, the very first one as a matter of fact:

    FAQ
Why 100% clean and renewable and not just 100% renewable? Are you saying we won’t transition off fossil fuels?
Yes, we are calling for a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases. Anyone who has read the resolution sees that we spell this out through a plan that calls for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from every sector of the economy. Simply banning fossil fuels immediately won’t build the new economy to replace it – this is the plan to build that new economy and spells out how to do it technically. We do this through a huge mobilization to create the renewable energy economy as fast as possible. We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast, but we think we can ramp up renewable manufacturing and power production, retrofit every building in America, build the smart grid, overhaul transportation and agriculture, plant lots of trees and restore our ecosystem to get to net-zero.

Yeah, I don't get it either. It's right there, it's as obvious as Botox on a Kardashian. Thing is -

    - you can get in trouble for calling someone a liar here - but I'm not reporting this post because - well, I prefer to let his posting style stand for all to see.

I can make the same argument, but since I never argue, chalk this one in your win column.

To put it bluntly, CourtJester got it wrong. Even the NYT, hardly a hotbed of Conservative thought, has discussed her plan and found it wanting:

Even worse, the NYT also includes a link to her plan which also includes the link - where it says "blog post" in the second paragraph - to her plan which includes her visionary ideas regarding cows and airplanes. And it also references her idea to provide economic security for those "unwilling to work." Hey, what could possibly go wrong?

Even the NEW FREAKING YORK TIMES admits it.
