    Yeah, on 2 penalty kicks, which are 75% successful... 2 nice kicks by her, but it's not like scoring a REAL goal...

    Also, IMHO, the 2nd of those PK fouls was pretty bogus.....

    OTOH, the Swedish goalie made a BRILLIANT PK save today to preserve a 1-0 win over Canada...



    That's as good as it gets... The Canadian girl hit that pretty flush...

    If those are considered real goals, then clearly I do not...

    They work at the end of the WC games though... that's pretty exciting... but I find it ridiculous how many games are decided by those things during the regular play... certainly takes away from the limited entertainment value for me.

I am 72 years old and I suppose that my eyesight isn't as good as it once was, however, is it possible that I am the only one on this thread who has noticed that everyone in this photo has his/her back turned to the flag??? So, hand on the heart or not - not one of them is honouring the flag as the national was reportingly to have been played.

    How is this different than any other person who doesn't put their hand over their heart or sing the national anthem? Look around the next time you're at a sporting event or any event where the anthem is being played and you'll see countless people without a hand over their heart. Hell, my brother is a retired Marine and he doesn't put his hand over his heart. He does, however, stand at a position of attention.
    BTW...are people upset with the kids in the pic in the OP for not putting their hand over their heart?
    This is just another case of people needing to be upset and outraged about something. Next week it will be something else just as silly.

    Whenever a liberal does anything unamerican we can depend on some of those on the left to defend it.

    Not honoring our flag especially publically around the world doe not represent an affront to our president. Its an affront to our country its an affront too all those that served that flag and those that gave all for that flag, its an affront to all Americans and the United States of America

    Its a blatant anti america statement to the world and our enemies just love it.

    No they didn't. However, they did have access to Hans Blix's reports which refuted Bush's lies. Sadly, they chose to go with his lies because they were too scared to challenge traitor Bush.
