Obama was a very capable and knowledgeable president. Weak in foreign affairs due to his peacenik leanings. He inherited the most severe recession in our country's history and started our country toward recovery. Trump inherited a growing economy and will flounder
before it is over because of his policies.

They did not, in March. Sending troops don't mean that the problem is resolved. Trump sent 15000 troops to the border.

So Trump was forced to threaten tariffs on Mexico to get them to follow through with their pledge to send troops to the border.

So my point was that sending troops to the border doesn't necessarily accomplish the goal. Also, I do oppose Trump raising tariffs
because they have proven not to work. However, what irks me the most is Trump's "bull in a china shop" approach because that conduct is divisive and not inclusive as those countries are moving toward political and economic ties with other countries and our standing in the world is being diminished. Our "allies" will not come- runnin' when we threaten the bad guys.

It's true these are band-aids....until the Dems get on the level with border security, and pass meaningful legislation the problem will continue at some level.

How has are standing been diminished? We have NATO countries actually paying, our relationship with the UK is great, and sounds like another great trade deal in the near future, Japan, South Korea all on board. China has come to the table in dealing with NK, same with nations around the world. Our relationship with our oldest and closest ally in the Middle East is back to normal and strong. Calling out our allies for bad trade agreements doesn't mean our standing has been deminished, not at all...it means we simply want them to live up to their end of the bargin too, and be a friend. I certainly agree our relationship with Russia is at a low point, but it's been heading that way since the great "reset" - but at least we are addressing them and not being more flexible.

And doing nothing will certainly not accomplish a goal. I'm guessing if the immigrants were seeking permanent refuge in Mexico their borders would be better secured. It's easier for Mexico to let immigrants pass peacefully through their country than making an effort to secure their southern border. Protecting an ally's back is what makes someone an ally. America has been buying allies through foreign aid. Our national debt is going to kill this country when interest rates start to rise.

I love this meme, it's bullcrap but it makes a great story for lefties. Obama's solution was to dump $80 Billion per month into the banks. That my friend is what caused any growth. Enter Trump and business becomes hopeful onerous obama regulations would be cut and within a few weeks we were off and running.

Oh, yes, many of them have LOTS of interesting diseases, of varieties not too often seen in this country -- until now, thanks to hyperliberal, America-hating 'migrant-support' groups.

A lot of them will concentrate in California now that its radical Democrat government has decided to give free healthcare to illegal aliens: https://ktla.com/2019/06/09/califor...th-benefits-for-some-undocumented-immigrants/

Tip of the iceberg... and with all the other parasitic, useless bums that are already infesting California from the Bay Area to San Diego, we should FORCE California to 'secede' before they wreck the rest of us, too....

The problem is not solved. The weak, Mexico, traveled quickly to see the strong, the White House, in their moment's dilemma. A deal was made with continuing conditions which must be met. If the results are unsatisfactory the tariffs are re-imposed upon Mexico by the White House.

    And Nancy don't like it.

I really like the part of the agreement that asylum seekers will remain in Mexico instead of disappearing before their hearings into our country. Interesting it says Mexico will offer them jobs, healthcare and education. Expensive for them but much needed relief for our schools and hospitals. We should all thank the Donald for this one.

And I'm sure you praised him for accomplishing this wonderful deal. Or are you one of those who condemn everything he does even when it is outstanding for our country?

Mexico was taking to many siestas and moving slower than a TJ donkey at a TJ donkey show.

President Trump played the Speedy Gonzales card to get Mexico to fulfill it's promises.

Bunk, Reagan inherited an economy just as bad and fixed it, one year producing over 7% growth. Trump inherited a stagnant economy, Obama's growth average was 1.8%. Barry tried to pass that off as the new normal.

Should we ask California for the money? It's only a couple Trillion. CA seems to have plenty of extra cash. They have enough to buy votes by paying the cost of healthcare for illegals. Hell, lets let them build their own wall too.

Trump promised that Mexico promised to buy more agricultural products from the US as part of the deal. Prove it.

As the border crisis worsens Mexico's pledge back in March to send 6,000 troops to it's southern border has yet to happen. So yes Mexico forced Trump's hand by threatening their revenue. Money talks, BS walks.
