You can't even give him kudos where kudos are due. Anything we can do to slow down the flow of hordes on our southern border is a great deal for our country. The agreement Mexico made to keep asylum seekers on their side I feel is the biggest part of this deal. Was that part of the original tentative agreement? There is good and bad in all of our presidents and only the irrational extremists are blinded to this.

I believe the fact that you can't see that Mexico stationing troops on their southern border as well as having asylum partitioners remain on the southern side says all there is to know about your rationality.

In regards to the keep asylum seekers, keep in mind that is something that they already do. Now, it is possible that the agreement will result in them retaining more, but we do not know any details on the difference in the count.

And in regards to the "safe country" designation, we have this regarding that folded document that trump waved in front of the press, but wouldn't show yesterday.

"The document has language suggesting that Mexico might consider changing its laws to facilitate a regional "safe third party" asylum system, subject to "domestic and international legal obligations," in which migrants would have to apply for asylum in the first country they enter."

Those promises are very vague and denote a lot of steps that have to happen domestically and internationally before it would happen.

 

Yeah, it's called progress. Funny how Mexico is more cooperative about border security than democrats are.

Mexico has been promising to do this **** for decades, and hasn't. Trump threatened tarrifs, and now for the first time, ever, they are.
