Yes, of course, calling Michelle Obama a 'food bully' for advocating good health for children makes a lot of sense... A group of you that show her no respect / no acknowledgment as first lady... here she is advocating good health for kids and you guys behave like she's declared war or done some heinous thing.

Vegetables, for (*)(*)(*)(*)s sake!! They're good for us. Good for children, too. Encouraging... advocating... giving attention and information about eating healthy with vegetables is not a crime. It's a GOOD thing. If it were a 'different' first lady, you'd have no trouble with it. Any excuse to vent at Michelle because you don't like her. Childish. Glib. Pathetic.

Michelle's got about as much chance of convincing that cat to eat peas as she does shaming kids into eating their veggies. Maybe she should try holding a gun to their little heads?

Just maybe she is hoping to reach the fat slob parents that raise fat slob kids so that they don't grow up to miserable disgusting fat bodies that are so comfortable in their obesity they turn like rabid hogs on anybody that suggests they could be better, stronger , healthier, happier.

Obesity is caused by excessive calorie consumption and lack of exercise, not a lack of vegetables.

Either way, there's no real reason why people (especially kids) should be eating junk food or fast food except on rare occasions, and parents who let their kids eat junk food don't know best whether Michelle says it or not - the ironic thing is that most of them are likely liberals who don't value personal responsibility enough and don't have a problem with their kids running amok and just doing whatever they want.

 

What makes me chuckle is that if Michele Obama encourages children eating more vegetables then Republicans automatically encourage children to stop eating vegatables. If President Obama came out today advocating abolishing the income tax the Republicans would oppose it.

It has been reported that U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, in private meetings with Senate Republicans, has taken the position that the Senate Republicans will oppose any legislation that might be beneficial to America because it would make Obama look better in the November election.

I don't know if that qualifies as "humorous" but it certainly is a laughable political position. Throw America under the bus just to win an election.

 

If the dumb voters had any sense they would toss the Repubs out of office in retaliation.

Good post... thx for the chart. While childhood obesity is definitely a problem, fact remains 83-88% of children don't have a problem with weight. Typical liberal overkill... punish the masses for the sins of the few.

How'd you like to be a fat kid today with the FLOTUS shining a spotlight on your head? Poor things, as if they don't have enough problems, now they've got a powerful new bully breathing down their necks. *tsk tsk*

 

Naw, Mitch McConnell indirectly told me that. He's come out privately with Republicans in the Senate to tell them that anything Obama proposes the Republicans must oppose especially if it's "good for America" because supporting anything Obama comes up with that's good for America improves Obama's re-election prospects.

Obviously if Michelle Obama endorses kids eating vegetables then McConnell and the Republicans have to oppose it. If the Republicans support it then they are indirectly supporting the President's re-election efforts.

 

If the dumb voters in America had any sense they'd throw out both the Republicans and Democrats from Congress. Both are harmful to America and are dedicated to the destruction of America based upon their political ideologies and agendas.

By way of example both Romney and Obama are proposing about $900 billion in deficit spending in 2013. How many are aware of the simple math that shows that $900 billion equates to about a 9 million job loss? That's nine million people that won't get work because the government has borrowed the money required by private enterprise to provide those jobs.

 

Yeah, both sides fighting each other during election time is real new in politics.........

Actually I find it amazing that her being a Mother for all these years has not figured out that kids will normally do the opposite of what adults tell them...but,,,then again she is the great Mrs Obama. Soon those kids will be stuffing themselves with broccoli and Turnip shakes I'm sure.....[cough]
