Sure. He's the one that brought up that in 1925 they had 8 million members, right?

So doing the math, in 2017 they have between 5-8 thousand members, they should be extinct in this next decade.

There's more serial ticklers out there than Klan members.

The link is all about the crazed Leftist hate group, the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Anyone that defends this group makes me laugh.

The KKK can't be involved with hate crimes because of lawyers. They will cease to be a legal group if they did. Thus they'd lose a lot of protection from the government. They'd be a gang. The Klan is the most irrelevant part of this thread.

Yeah, because Trump is such a racist and bigot. He'd never be caught dead appointing blacks, Jews or women to important government positions. Or his daughter to run his business or marry a Jewish guy. Can you imagine? Not gonna happen, because Trump is KKK all the way, buddy.

There was a hate murder a few days ago in Olathe, Kansas, where the shooter yelled at the Asian Indian victim, "Get Out of my Country". This was a "big deal". So yes, I'd say 5000-6000 KKK members is also a big deal.

They can speak freely but so can others.

For instance, if I want to call them racist pieces of white trash, I'm free to do so; besides they'd probably blame what I said on the illegal immigrants anyways.

Right. Everyone has a voice in this country. You'd think the party of victims would understand this basic principle of our freedoms. It's like they only want to hear from themselves.

Looks like we found the birthplace of the ideas that around which theTea Party and its successor, the American alt-right, were created.

The 1999 White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan's "platform" looks like it's straight out of the GOP party platform:

Also if you need further proof that the KKK stopped being a Democratic Party base after the Civil Rights Act and gradually switched parties, just go down through this thread and see how many of our right-wing compatriots disavow the KKK.

You clearly don't know much about history. Let's hope that Betsy DeVos can Make America Smart Again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wz_0utCrm0

Ah let me guess. Standard right-wing video pre-Civil Rights Act before the GOP "Southern Strategy" wooed the deep South and dixiecrats into their flock?

Hey, guess what. The Republicans use to be fairly progressive and the party of fiscal responsibility. That's definitely not the case these days. If you read this forum on a regular basis, it would become readily apparent that the GOP is the preferred party these days for the likes of David Duke and Steve Bannon.

What does that have to do with to which race you belong? Whether you are black or white?

The KKK is a Democrat organization that endorsed the racist Dixiecrat Hilary Clinton.

Rather than just guessing at history why not watch the video? It even encourages the viewer to verify the facts therein for themselves.

To suggest that in a very brief period of time the Democrats quickly became non-racist while the Republicans suddenly became the party of the Klan defies all logic and historical knowledge, accuracy, and common sense. This sudden change in everyone's deep-rooted attitudes seems to have the swept the nation without anyone really noticing.

What didn't go unnoticed was the takeover of thee Democrats by the far left, who then began their propaganda campaign that it was not they who were the racists but those dastardly Republicans. This has been going on for a few decades now, and you've provided further evidence of this nonsense by comparing Steve Bannon with David Duke.

A big KKK movement in "Junction" (as we Coloradoans call it)? Sounds like some kind of one-off stunt of some kind. Look at where Grand Junction is situated. Does that look like an area where there would be some kind of a 'flash-point' between Whites and Blacks...? :roflol:. They're out there in the middle of absolutely NOWHERE, in the high desert. If there's a large minority of any kind in "Junction" it might be illegal aliens.

Please provide some actual evidence of this. I hear lying liberals make this claim a lot, but I've never once seen an ounce of evidence to back it up...

There is no evidence and, like many Leftists, is changing the terms from 'Democrat' to 'Conservative'. The Democrats have always been the party of racism and still are today.

Here's a brief read highlighting their attempt, often successful, at revisionist history.http://www.nationalreview.com/article/420321/democratic-party-racist-history-mona-charen

That's pretty simple. If Southern whites were liberal in the 40s, 50s and 60s there would have been no need for a Civil Rights Movement. Only someone with their head in the sand would try and say those folks were liberal in their thinking.

They became Repubs because of the Civil Rights Act. I lived through that history. Anyone who cares to read up a little on the history of the country could find that out. And Trump sounds exactly like the Southern Dems. Code word for white men's rights.

Quite likely because of education, greater enlightenment., and Ronald Reagan.
