Trumpland is becoming Trampland as the trickle down of the Trump 'wealthfare' tax cuts evaporates before it reaches the lower levels of society.

How can it be in America that "people residing in campers and other vehicles surged 46 percent over the past year," while Trump is purporting to be helping the proletariat.

The real reason is that wages are stagnant and prices are rising as the Trump GDP growth is an illusion to the majority of the population.

There will be more pain as the effect of Trump's tariffs translates into price rises and job cuts.

If there is a recession there will be hell 'toupee' as the government wallows with rising budget deficits and falling tax revenue.

PSSST...From your own article..."The number of people residing in campers and other vehicles surged 46 percent over the past year, a recent homeless census in Seattle's King County, Washington found. The problem is "exploding" in cities with expensive housing markets, including Los Angeles, Portland and San Francisco, according to Governing magazine." Those are all liberal areas with much better control over the prices of homes than any plan the federal government implements. I'd start at the bottom and kick out the liberal idiots in charge of these places before thinking its the federal government's problem. This is why we have the electoral college because the large crappy liberal **** holes see how bad it is from their ivory towers but the rest of the country doesn't suck like these places.

Yep, thanks for saving our asses in 2009 from a depression and giving us a steadily rising economy since March 2009 that trump luckily inherited and appears to be making an effort to destroy.

This trend is the result of real estate investment: something that has been inflating the cost of living for generations. ...not merely since Trump.

I would love to see Trump tax the **** out of investment properties to decentivise the dynamic. But we didn't elect him to do that, and given that real estate is an investment tool used equally by both leftists and rightists from the middle class and up, we never will.

I've created a few threads over the years addressing this problem. To summarize: I would like to see every citizen allowed two tax-free residential properties (one to live in and one to rent or sell) and one tax-free commercial/industrial property to do business from, and anything beyond that should be taxed to the extent that its not financially beneficial to hold on to. Same rules for corporations as well.

This tax would have to be implemented incrementally, of course, as it would fundamentally change the dynamics driving our economy. A few % points raised/lowered per year over many years, with things like schools and emergency services slowly weened on to sales tax dependency instead as property tax revenues dwindle.

As real estate investment becomes increasingly less proffitable, real estate prices will drop, and the cost of both renting and buying housing will reduce. People will have more money to spend on goods and services increasing sales tax revenues, homelessness will reduce, and more workers will be 'employable' as they're not living on the street.

Most of us with mortgages will get the screwjob (myself included) being 'upside down' oweing more on a house thats worth less, but as the economy (and associated tax revenues) grows, we could begin to subsidize mortgage help programs to aid those negatively affected by the new laws.

Can we get this thread pinned to the top so everyone can see the results of letting libwingers run your cities?

If the goal was to show how heartless the biggest liberal cities are to their people, mission accomplished.

Uh, no. Thanks to him, we had 8 years of dismal economy growth and cause the American people more debt. Stop the corporate welfare through ideas of "too big to fail". The Auto bailouts went to the unions before the companies. No government can stop bubbles from collapsing, not even the free market can, but the Obama administration and the dems socialized the failure to everyone instead of letting these bad businesses fail and be absorbed by good businesses or new businesses.

Can we get a change to the title of this thread since there is nothing there about the rise of these sanctuary cities actually having more "Americans" homeless and very good possibility that its just illegals who are homeless?

Yea, a doubling of the national debt will to that to an economy. $85 BILLION created from nothing and pumped directly into the financial system can do **** like that.
Your grand kids will not be thanking obama.

In San Francisco the homeless are lucky to have a car to sleep in and they do their business all over the sidewalks. It's a classy liberal town.

"B-B-But . . . Obama!" In their heart of hearts that's the only reply any true leftist would care to generate as a rebuttal at that point. Sweet!

Maybe the Liberals in those cities need to give the homeless people more free stuff to get rid of them?

And, like clockwork...it's time for the left to trot out "The Homeless" now that there is a GOP administration.

The SAME homeless people they shipped out of town before the DNC convention showed up, the SAME homeless people who were there ALL THROUGH THE OBAMA YEARS, living in DEMOCRAT-CONTROLLED HELLHOLES.

Same BULLSHIT as the Poor Separated Illegal Children who were CAGED, TURNED OVER TO CHILD TRAFFICKERS, etc., UNDER OBAMA, ad not a peep from the "concerned" left.

Spare us the GLARINGLY TRANSPARENT HYPOCRITICAL "FAUX OUTRAGE", AGAIN, PLEASE.

    "Thou dost protest too much".

I wouldn't be surprised if a collectivist went to their car and found a fellow collectivist decided to commandeer it for the night.

I wonder if any of our leftists realize that no matter how much free stuff (taxpayers' money) that they give away, their 'charges' lot in life never seem to improve. You'd think that after a certain point even the average leftist would detect a fundamental flaw or two in the base core of their ideology and politics.
