I think the plan is to keep this going until after 2020...even though Mueller knows he has nothing, the DNC has told him to spin this as long as possible to keep throwing suspicion his way. After Jim Jordan grilled Rod Rosenstein, all of a sudden a twenty year old incident that Jordan just happened to be in the vicinity of back in those days conveniently and coincidentally surfaced. And it didn't even have to be true, just merely saying it, will cast enough doubt to ruin Jordan's reputation and career forever. Damage done.

I haven't heard anything from Mueller's team to suggest any of Trump's insiders have given them anything to work with. Have you? Can you source that information? Look, the fact is that there's going to come a time when Mueller is going to have to either come up with some evidence for all of this or else close shop on the whole collusion thing. There is at least some evidence that this whole line of investigation might have been fraudulent and I don't think the public is going to tolerate this thing going on indefinitely. Recent polls indicate that support for this investigation is eroding. Maybe the OP is right and this thing is in the process of winding down. We'll just have to wait and see.

 

Consider the number of Trump insiders who have been called on to testify vs. non-insiders. Consider how many Trump insiders have agreed to testify in exchange for immunity vs. non-insiders.

IOW you're asking if I know any details about what information Mueller has gotten in interviews. Of course I don't. Mueller is a seasoned professional and runs a tight ship. He manages to prevent leaks, and that is essential in such an investigation.

No they don't. Not in any serious way, at least. I'd like to see it end but I want the investigation to be complete and have strong results even more. And Mueller is the professional who can do that. Forcing him to stop is only an attempt to protect Trump and his insiders from published truth and any consequences. Many people think they are guilty of treason. I think that is serious enough that we need very much to know if it's wrong. That would help heal some of the extreme division we have.

Regarding this going on too long, look into the Nixon investigations. Then consider the length of Republican BS investigations like the 3 years of Benghazi that produced zero indictments, etc.
