Is the world economy being deliberately dampened, perhaps to save the environment?

I taught English as a second language in Quito, Ecuador for over a year and one of the reasons why I decided to campaign for public office two years after returning home to Nova Scotia, Canada was to give my Ecuadorian students some English - Spanish..... side by side..... writings that would test......... and hopefully expand their understanding of written English.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictou_Centre

CORRECTION... The year 1970 in red......in this statement should have been 1974:
...."In 1970 we changed our system and since that time a higher and higher percentage of all government debt is financed through loans issued through privately owned banks." (From paragraph #4)

I was hoping that getting into flaws in Canadian central banking policy would
give my students a better understanding of how economists and bureaucrats and political leaders were deliberately dampening the Canadian and world economy..........
that fact has some benefits and some serious drawbacks as well.

One of the positives is that deliberately dampening the economy.... and decreasing optimism... .tends to be a good thing for the environment.

As you can see from the Wikipedia link.... .I did get twenty votes...... which I was pleasantly surprised by.... because educating voters was my primary objective.

You sound like a Malthusian. I suppose that it never occurred to you that "damping" economic output also irrevocably damages people and their livelihoods? But hey, the "environment" is better? Laughable.

Thank you for introducing me to that word........
    I had to Google it......
Actually my wife and I could have been termed part of the working poor at the time of my first and second campaign writings......
and my primary objective was to let people know that they had the power to put pressure on government to
    crank up the economy..........
loosen up the money supply..... in order to accomplish many worthwhile infrastructure projects........
and perhaps to even introduce a Minimum Basic Income.... without
increasing the tax burden on citizens.

But....... I have to admit that I did understand the reasoning behind why some people who think of themselves as
the Elite.....would tend to favour a tighter money supply........
    partly to protect the environment?!

Did P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau save the world environment?

Personally..... I do NOT agree with what P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau did.... but.....
I had to admit that it may have had some advantages...... at least for the environment.

By deliberately dampening the Canadian economy....... P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau allowed the USA Federal Reserve to also..... .dampen the USA economy... which led to a general slow down of the entire world economy!

My 2004 Municipal campaign writing is kind of funny...... because it was ten pages long.....
and I concentrated far too much on USA history to grab the attention of Canadian voters:

Actually..... I am pro-life and I would even say that terribly flawed central banking policies play a significant role in well over thirty percent of abortions.

"A Ban on Intra-cardiac Potassium Chloride Injections on Singletons" will be one significant part of my next campaign..........
the following quotation will give you a good idea why I will risk being kicked out of Canada's Conservative Party to elaborate on my promise to table that bill if I am elected........ but I will need to hold the office of M. P. for over a year before I could table a private members bill of this nature.

I know that the other political leaders will not touch this subject......but I am sure that Mad Max Bernier will begin to research this as soon as he sees this. I am pretty sure that he will not tell me that I have nothing to worry about. A Carbon Tax would be completely ineffective in protecting the eastern region of the Bay of Fundy from a significant rise in ocean levels in the event that rapid cracking and sliding of ice were to occur on the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.

The threat of rising ocean levels could unite humanity around the project of large scale desalination of ocean water to turn deserts green as predicted in Isaiah chapter 35. Because the eastern region of the Bay of Fundy here in Canada experiences the world's highest tides........ we Canadians are somewhat forced to think about this problem in a different way than somebody else who is far inland away from the ocean.

....... "I have began to wonder if I am missing some
important factor that would cause my line of
reasoning to be in error regarding a theory I
have put out there on just how much of an increase
in high tides might occur along parts of the Bay of Fundy
where we already experience the world's highest tides.

I live in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. The
difference between low tide to high tide on a normal
day is one to one and a half meters.... along fifty kms of
    coastline here.

There are places along the Bay of Fundy where the difference
from low tide to high tide.... .can be fifty feet or more.

This occurs notably near Truro, N. S. and Moncton, New Brunswick.

The landform of the Bay of Fundy has a funnelling effect on
the tidal waters as they come in............ and so the multiplier
effect on the tides there is FIFTEEN TIMES.... or even more in
    some areas.

What if...... a massive cracking and sliding of ice were to occur
on the land based Greenland Ice Pack and/or the West Antarctic
Ice Sheet..... and lets speculate that average world oceans rose by
    merely one foot, (30 cms).

IF... .that 15X multiplier effect carried through...... then.......
perhaps in a few places along the Bay of Fundy.... high tides might
    be up by 30 cms x 15 = 450 cms or 4.5 meters.

In my part of Nova Scotia the high tide mark might not be up by much more
than the thirty centimeteres...... due to the fact that the land form where I live
DOES NOT have a 15 X multiplier effect on tidal waters.

Am I being alarmist and really missing some important factor that
makes my theory terribly in error?" (June 28, 2016)

...... "Although I am no expert and did not even finish university I have concluded that
the 10 X to 15 X multiplier for high tides in the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy ............. could well continue to follow through if average ocean levels were to
rise a significant amount. There are two primary reasons:

    1. The land form of the Bay of Fundy funnels high tide waters from a very wide
area of the Atlantic Ocean into a more and more narrow area.

    2. The fact that the distance from Yarmouth to Truro, Nova Scotia is about 174 miles......
means that the waters of the previous high tide......... cannot sufficiently drain before the next high tide
begins to come in........... WHICH MEANS THAT THE NEW HIGH TIDE WATERS..... tend to pile on top of.....
the receding high tide waters! (It takes over four hours to drive from Truro to Yarmouth Nova Scotia..... and obvioulsy
the receding high tide waters cannot travel as fast as our cars so each new high tide for the Bay of Fundy..... adds to the previous high tide waters that were not able to fully drain from the Fundy)!

So....... a one foot worldwide average increase in ocean levels could well produce high tide levels that could be up by ten to fifteen feet along parts of the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy. " (August 10, 2018, post #114 here):

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/geology-physics-high-tides-question.463012/page-6
    Geology, physics, high tides question.

Actually..... it will not go up to the full 15X though due to the large rather flat farmland areas in Kings, Hants, Colchester and Cumberland Counties in Nova Scotia and in Westmoreland, Albert and St. John's counties in New Brunswick.

As you can guess.... I feel pressure to make as many people as possible aware of this problem....... as well as what sure looks to me like possible solutions to this problem. Humanity now has the technology to reduce ocean levels down to where they were in 1918..... which would be to lower average ocean level by eight to sixteen centimeters.

I have serious doubts that this problem can be handled by the public sector....... I think the solution can only come from the private sector..... but I do feel a responsibility to toss my hat into the political ring largely to make more people aware of the complexity of this.

Personally...... I believe that this situation should be put in front of Canada's Dragons....... and the USA Shark Tank...... by some concerned volunteers who will pass this idea on to the Dragons and Sharks free of charge to them. I would love to help out in any way that I can. (OK... maybe for one dollar per year just to make things legal)!

The best idea that I can come up with so far is for Canada's Dragons.... and several of the USA Sharks........to go to President Donald J. Trump...... with an offer to borrow the 4.3 TRILLION USA petro - dollars that are in the hands of George Soros, China, Russia and other companies and individuals who tend to agree with the George Soros plan to devalue the USA petro - dollar. I would suggest offering to pay two percent interest on that loan......... which is pretty good considering that IF.....CANADA'S DRAGONS ARE ABLE TO PREVENT A ten percent devaluation of the USA dollar..... they would in a sense be paying the USA not two percent interest.... but the equivalent of twelve percent interest. If Canada's Dragons were able to prevent a twenty percent devaluation of the USA dollar......... they would really be paying USA taxpayers the equivalent of twenty two percent interest. President Trump has the power to freeze assets of somebody who is out to destroy the USA..... .for example George Soros.... and I assume he has the power to transfer those funds to genuine allies of the USA.... .such as Canada's Dragons and the USA Shark Tank?!

A more in depth explanation is given on this page:

    P. M. Netanyahu, President Trump has a 4.3 trillion dollar problem....

I put important parts of this basic idea in front of Canada's Liberal Party, specifically in front of M. P. Bill Casey here:

    M. P. Bill Casey... President Trump has a 4.3 trillion dollar problem....

Great to see the colossal error by P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau in 1974 getting some more attention.

But I think that former Canadian Minister of Defence and Minister of Transportation gave a somewhat simpler and more easily applied version of a similar idea:

Here is the winner though for the all time simplest and most concise explanation for this idea:

"How to make the world better. Really. With Dr. Bjorn Lomborg."

"On December 7, 2018, I spoke with Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, author and President of Copenhagen Consensus Center, a singularly innovative and influential US-based think tank. Dr. Lomborg and his team have done the hard conceptual and empirical work necessary to turn good intentions for global improvement into implementable and economically efficient strategies. That's really saying something.

They have, among other things, analyzed the UN Millenial goals (169 of them, which is far too many), prioritizing and rank-ordering them in terms of practical implementability and costs and benefits. Those who claim to truly care about the world's dispossessed could do far worse than to study Dr. Lomborg's work." (Jordan B. Peterson)

I actually have been in contact with Dr. Lomborg since I quoted him in my 2008 campaign writing.

Maxime Bernier's latest challenge: an ultramarathon
Beauce MP raises $153,000 for charity after 13-hour run

People's Party of Canada's National Leader Mr. Maxime Bernier has set the bar
very, very high for anybody who would want to challenge him for the leadership of
    our new political party.

    ©by Dennis Patrick Tate 2018

I have been thinking this through though over the past couple of
months and I do want to attempt a challenge to Mr. Bernier's Leadership. My opening gambit is a proposal for a
a film production company plus cooperative plus kibbutz with some variation of the name,
"Republic of Western Canada Film Productions Ltd" and / or "Republic of Western Canada Film Productions Coop Ltd." etc. I want to donate my write ups plus whatever I can
give to you for footage from here in Nova Scotia to explain the astonishingly interesting position that
I feel you are in. I would suggest seriously considering making the USA dollar your official currency due to the
seemingly very serious threat that seems to be looming against the USA petro - dollar from China, Iran, Europe and to a degree even Russia.

I consider the threat against the USA petro- dollar to be so serious that I attempted to get M. P. Bill Casey to research it.

    M. P. Bill Casey... President Trump has a 4.3 trillion dollar problem....

My daughter, step-son and nephew were in the Disney film, "The Circuit" starring Michelle Trachtenberg back in 2007 and I found out that minimum wage for any Disney actor with so much as one speaking line is about a thousand dollars per hour.

I believe that the PPC, the Conservative Party and perhaps another political party or two or three should get together to come up with a way to oppose Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's policies that are driving Albertans toward wanting to leave the Confederation of Canada.

Fellow aspiring People's Party of Canada candidates...... let's volunteer our time and ideas through video and discussion forums and donate the proceeds to perhaps a Food Bank as Mr. Bernier did or perhaps to one of the three or more film production organizations formed to promote this option because frankly........... making people aware of all that has happened is the best way to keep Canada together!

Within days of the calling of the 2019 Canadian federal election I would love to see all card carrying members of the PPC and Canada's Conservative Party, (and perhaps another invited relatively Conservative or Libertarian party or two), and we vote on which one of us goes up against Liberal M. P's all across Canada.

I personally would like to seriously discuss exempting many Conservative M. P.'s from facing a PPC candidate in their riding because obviously defeating P. M. Trudeau's Liberals must be a priority.

Why leaving Canada makes sense for Alberta, and U.S. would likely welcome a new state
'Right now, every man, woman and child in Alberta pay $6,000 more into the national budget than they get back. Alberta is the only province that is a net contributor'

I would like to nominate Conservative M. P. Michelle Rempel to be exempted from facing a challenge from the PPC in her riding.

Inside the vote: how Tory MP Michelle Rempel passed her motion on the Yazidis

I also hereby nominate The Alberta Independence Party candidates to this proposed PPC plus Conservative vote off before the next federal election.

To what degree are supposedly Green organizations being used to....

....get at the thirty five TRILLION dollars worth of oil and natural gas reserves in the Arctic?

Or to set the stage for the devaluation of the USA petro - dollar which is in some danger due to the 4.3 trillion USA petro - dollars in the hands of China, George Soros, Iran, Europe and Russia?

Now here is an intriguing suggestion:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...nia-for-alberta.547506/page-2#post-1070026450

Would Americans be willing to trade California for Alberta?

Here is my summary of the challenge facing us that in my opinion makes it necessary to think well outside of the box in order to come up with good potential solutions to the ways in which this could potentially get nasty?!
The Hurricane of USA one dollar dream given to Christian Psychic Shane Warren back around 2011 is the main way that this could get pretty serious.

That is give after the 17 minute mark in this video:

This is an exceptionally insightful comment regarding petrodollars and those three numbers 4.3 trillion, (the amount of cash in accounts in the hands of enemies of the USA who are publicly discussing the devaluation of the USA dollar, (China, Iran, Soros and his buddies, Europe and to a degree Russia)), the 35 trillion, (the valuation on oil and natural gas reserves in the melting Arctic), and the 117 trillion, (the value of Derivatives on the Wall Street markets that in the opinion of many make the petrodollar vulnerable to an attack).

I am of the belief that a reality plus semi-reality science fiction film series set supposedly in 2012 - 2015 in an alternate universe / example of applied Multiverse Theory (applied by G-d actually).... in which Mr. Mitt Romney is elected POTUS in 2012 and takes office in January of 2013...... has huge potential because his church, the Latter day Saints essentially control the State of Utah which sets us up for the possibility of:

Could a Utah State Dollar save the USA Dollar?

    Your comment is indeed impressive.....
So I would love to get your feedback regarding three numbers........

    35 trillion USA petrodollars... and
    117 - 127 USA petrodollars?

    Wow!!!!!

I sent off a message a few days ago to a group capable of correcting any errors in my 2006 campaign writing and indeed they did get back to me with a brilliant reply:

"Committee On Monetary and Economic Reform"

"If I have made any significant errors in this message please correct me." (Dennis Tate, Monday, 11:50 pm).

"Hi Dennis, thanks for your message. We aren't here at the moment, but we'll get back to you soon!"
