Point taken and nice post. Still it isn't likely that an Atheist is going to be chanting, "there is no God."

I wouldn't know. I have also never been to war. But if those who have say there are no Atheists in a foxhole as in a most desperate situation, then I take their word for it as being essentially true. I mean if some of the men are praying, it seems unimaginable that an Atheist would be saying there is no God as if God were the boogey man.

The atheist soldier would likely remain silent in that situation. Just because you don't believe somebody else's comforting delusion doesn't mean you have to call it out, especially when they so obviously desperately need to cling to it and it isn't doing any harm to anyone.

Most atheists also don't go into nursing homes and tell grandmas that there is no heaven; not even their own grandmas. Many atheists even hide from grandma the fact that they don't believe, to the point of lying and saying that they do, just so grandma won't worry about their soul, etc.

Reality has knocked in my case, though, but you simply choose to think I'm deceitful, either to myself or everyone, rather than giving me (and my hundreds of thousands of other friends with similar experiences) the benefit of the doubt when it comes to first-hand observations. I was told, point blank, that your religion and god are both false.

    Now what?

That's one way of looking at things. It could also be said that the actual self comforting delusion is to say there is no God, thus avoiding the concept of accountability to a perfect and divine Father, and absolve oneself of responsibility in the matter. It is tidy, but is it wise.

Good question. I'm not completely sure, though I have some ideas. It was during my NDE in 2018 (possibly 2018), where some entity basically gave me the guided intro and Q&A session about, "OK, your last life is over, your next one hasn't begun, now what?" tour (my word) I got when I died and crossed over. I suspect it was either my higher self, my guide(s?), or some semblance of both who were essentially there to greet me and answer all the questions I had after crossing... And let me tell you, did I have a LOT of questions, I'm quite sure I sounded like a 4-year-old with a bad case of the "But why? But why? But why?" conversation so many parents are familiar with. Most of them revolved around reincarnation, at least that I've remembered to date, though I am seriously considering some regression hypnotherapy to see if I can extract more memories. Which is part of the issue, because I was dead when those memories formed, so how is it I still have them? You tell me and we'll both know! Oh, and please do, if you have even the tiniest bit of insight....

Yet, as you've noted above, atheists aren't screaming that there is no God when they are under extremely stresful and desperate conditions such as a foxhole. They are not pleading with the non-existence of a deity. If they seek comfort to reduce stress, they turn to other things.

If you get that regression hypnotherapy, I would love to hear about it! Personally, I think Jesus spoke extensively about reincarnation, but the church/Emperor Constantine ensured that stuff was yanked out. If people thought that the priests held the keys to enter heaven, then it becomes much easier to control the masses. If people knew that they would reincarnate many many times, and that priests had nothing to do with it, that would have destroyed the foundation of their power.

Not what I was saying. My point was that someone, who out of fear, starts saying "My God, my God...." or begins what is essentially prayer, or something along those lines, doesn't necessarily and actually believe, and thus is not suddenly a theist. They are in effect drowning and grabbing at anything that might help them stay afloat. When the crisis passes, these people go back to their atheist ways. This isn't a conversion one way and then back. They remain atheists. That's not to say that there are not true conversions in those foxholes. Simply that there are indeed atheists in those foxholes.

Glad you made it. But I don't see how that buttresses your statement that you were told point blank that my religion and God are false as if you and I know one another.

So the saying passes along with the season of danger. But it remains appropriate and fitting to the season. And procrastination(as in the return to Atheism) doesn't change the end.... It ensures it.

So, what you are trying to say, is this God who oversee's the entire Universe of Trillions of Habital Planets, they this all encompassing God can actually care about a single person's welfare on one of those Trillions of planets with Billions of people per planet?

And, every single God reference ever written about on Earth was written by some human being, not some other worldly being. Heck, for all we know, Jesus and Muhammud were both just David Koresh's or Saddam Husseins that used religion as a tool to enforce laws. Not a single shred of evidence to prove either side right or wrong. If there is a God that encompasses the entire universe of Trillions of Habital planets, they could care less about laws or you, yourself. We just exist and control our own destiny. There is absolutely nothing else.

All written laws in these religious relic's called books were "Created" by self righteous men based off of their personal opinions on how Mankind should be ruled or bettered.

Well it does seem far fetched. But that's from our limited perspective. We don't know Gods capacity.
