Radical muslims are not "grounded". In fact, they fly airplanes into buildings.

I guess being an engineer and building aircraft, communications equipment, and high tech medical gear is a better paying career than teaching 3rd grade... who knew?

To help shift back to the topic of this thread, instead of having to go through fantastically ignorant views about Iran on both sides, let me slightly edit and re-word the main impediment to breaking down a hegemonic system that seems to be working for "military aircraft technicians" these days but clearly not for many others.

The problem isn't a Russian or Chinese inability (w/o even having to fire a shot) to bring down the house of cards that is the US special interests-led global economic Ponzi-scheme and, with it, the American empire worldwide. The problem is that the Russians and Chinese don't have a clear idea (ideology) to motivate them, besides asking for more pieces of the pie. And besides merely craving for more due respect by powers who, instead, see them as needed rivals and adversaries for the Ponzi-scheme to work.

The Russians (and Chinese) simply want to be accepted as full-fledged partners in the global economic Ponzi-scheme, while the role US special interests prefer for them is that of a lost rival without any map to chart where they want to be outside their neighborhood. Without the Russians and Chinese as rivals, how could these special interest groups scam nearly a trillion USD annually on military budgets? The $14 trillion scam under the guise of "war on terrorism" the past 2 decades has a.ready milked that cow more than it can give. The figures that allow its crumbs to give military technicians and engineers their coveted 'houses with Jacuzzis' (and whatever else passes as the treats they need to march as told), cannot be sustained indefinitely hyping the threat posed by goat herders and cavemen pulling another September 11.

I learned about Iran the day I arrived in Iraq on my way to train the NEW Iraqi Army. KMTB (Kir Kush Military Training Base), was only a few miles from the Iranian border and we could receive Iranian TV broadcasts. We all watched the local Iranian news which showed a small boy having his arm run over by a truck because he had stolen some candy.

Using phrases such as "a hegemonic system that seems to be working for "military aircraft technicians" these days but clearly not for many others' to describe the west is odd sounding from a member of the Irainian nation that was able to compromise the air-ground link between an American Predator and its ground control. That takes some pretty heavy duty defense technicians too.

The post says that America has no ideology, just a ponzi-scheme. I would suggest two things. First, America has a proud history of freedom, which s quite an ideology. And second, even ponzi-scheme is better than a system which runs over the arms of little boys, makes their women wear grandma's drapes, throws gay people off of rooftops, and points with pride to their videotapes of beheading their opponents.

if you actually set foot in Iran and spent some time in the country, you would quickly realize what you say isn't describing Iran. If you are interested, I will give you a real tour of Iran -- the good, bad and ugly. Otherwise, whatever you like to believe about Iran, its your choice.

I have never set foot in Iran. But I watched Iranian broadcast TV from just a few miles away where the local news was about a little boy having his arm run over because he stole some candy. 'Nuff Said".

I have watched live Iranian broadcast TV that was proudly showing a little boy having his arm run over by a truck for stealing candy. "Nuff Said"

Either you are lying or someone deceived you badly. In any case, you can watch every Iranian broadcast TV channels live, Iranian movies, tv series, reality shows, etc without having to set foot even close to Iran. Here is one site that can help you in that regard:

No thanks... I've seen enough Sharia law terror on Iranian TV to last me a lifetime. But thanks anyway.

Iranian Monitor? Man Yack? Bill Carson?

Man the names used on this form. Death is so melodramatic too.

Here you boys would like this: .

So much for the sloppy cryptic references.

فیلمنامه شما در مورد ایران بسیار ناشیانه است رفیق.

Вам, мальчики, нужно двигаться дальше. Сценарии остаются без внимания.

In Russian “manyak” means sadistic murderer who tortures their prey before killing them.

Huh? What are you talking about? The pay below isn't even good for teaching elementary school.

Six years of university to teach STEM subjects for this...?

    upload_2022-2-1_9-14-0.jpeg

I would never have taught public school if I had depended on my teacher pay. My income from investments was many times what I made teaching. I wasn't going to be a teacher who encouraged students to attend university while being unable to support my daughter going. She's a bank VP in charge of a division that makes commercial loans for $25+m.

Radical Muslims aren't leading Iran. They're thugs, not crazies.

I took off a couple of years to teach high school Physics... California had all the English, art, and music teachers it needed but was short on math and science teachers, so they recruited me. After two years I had satisfied my desire to experience teaching and went back to industry. ALMOST a purely a monetary decision.

In Russian, this word means a person obsessed with some kind of mania. Doesn't have to be murder.
In my interpretation, this does not begin with a desire to see non-standard solutions and views of the world.
Moreover. in Russian culture, moving on to discussing nicknames and the personality of the interlocutor - this shows that the opponent admits his defeat in the discussion.

Sooo... Russia is lollipop land where no one loses their temper and calls anyone a name because that would be admitting defeat?? Where unicorns frolic and no one can win an argument if you call your opponent an SOB? Wow... do you have to walk into Russia on a yellow brick road?

This is what a real leader looks like (as opposed to the potato brain in the White House). Covered all bases (turn on subtitles):

Polite is always good. But conflict often gets ugly. Tea parties are polite. Sewing circles are polite. When adults discuss issues which may effect their livelihood, the safety of their families, their very lives... things get emotional. And issues which motivate folks to defend their homes and families... which determine their future... get very emotional.

AARguy, I'm sorry. :please: If you want to communicate like that, I could swear at you. But I don’t know English well enough and I don’t dare to do it through an interpreter. And if I start insulting you in Russian, you are unlikely to understand the whole depth of my thoughts. Therefore, let's communicate correctly - in politics and so much hatred lately.

I agree with that. I'm old now and things are different. I spent most of my adult life, however, as a SOLDIER and, well, "politeness" was difficult quite frequently.
Your English is a lot better than my Russian, by the way.
