Interfaith couples are forced to marry overseas.

And I know that there are those here who would say that if either Saudi Arabia or Israel (or both) waged war on Iran that Russia would counterattack in Iran's defense. No chance of that!

Question: why would anyone believe that Vladimir Putin, of all the world's leaders, would be that stupid?! Sure, so long as Iran does Russia's bidding toward helping to secure Russia's vital interests in the Eastern Mediterranean (mostly, uninhibited passage to and from the Black Sea), that's OK with Putin. But Putin is smart enough to know that in the long run, Israel can be of a lot more use to Russia than any fickle, mentally-unbalanced Islamo-state ruled by religious fanatics.

Bottom line: If Israel and/or Saudi Arabia bombs Iran into smoking piles of rubble, Putin will protest and act angry. There will be 'warnings', and emergency meetings at the UN, etc., etc., and all the usual 'schauspiel' that accompanies these kinds of "drama". But, at the end of the fabled 'day', Russia will actually do NOTHING about it, except do what is necessary to keep Turkey's Erdogan on a shorter leash in order to preserve and improve the Russian position in Syria.

This guy has been saying Iran is a couple years away from nukes since the 1990s for gods sake. And he said we would be greeted as liberators in iraq by much of its population.
