I repeat, "No one ever claimed that we were going to die in 10 years except for deniers trying to make a strawman of the threat.

That is also not true (Justin Amash), but it was with more "yes" votes than any President in US history.

Yep, that was your goal. There is zero evidence this virus has done that

I did not say or imply that the virus had mutated, but it is downplaying the threat to imply that it can not mutate.

The virus came from a mutation in the first place!

As viruses go this one has wings, but the professionals are now reaching a consensus that it's meek and mild inside the human body -- a stroke of good luck for the human condition.

You never know, the next virus may wipe out half of humanity.

    Are you in good hands?:)

So what you are saying is it’s pretty common for viruses to mutate....

Oh, and that makes it somehow less of a threat? I guess you are not already sick, and you don't have any friends or family who are sick and could be killed by this virus?

BTW: There are plenty of people who died from the virus who were young and healthy, including the doctor who initially discovered it. There might be some unknown genetic predisposition to getting the severe symptoms of the virus, and it is not just compromised immune system or already being sick. Tell me, do you KNOW that YOU don't have that genetic predisposition?

It’s pretty common for viruses to mutate. That’s not a threat. It’s common

Yeah, but some plant virus under a banana tree leaf could radically mutate and take out half of humanity. Yes, it can.

There is no threat that the world will end in 12 years and no one, except deniers trying to make a strawman of the threat, is making that claim. Even in this situation, she was telling a story about some nameless young persons who appears to misunderstand the threat.

Scientists have told us that the 12 year window refers to the timeline during which we need to start making significant alterations to our behavior if we want to avoid the worst of the potential outcomes.

Not a member of the Democratic party either, hence why it is inaccurate to claim that the vote for impeachment was partisan.

You appear to assume that something which is common is not a threat. I would argue that something which is common is more of a threat.

Hate to dash your hopes but the virus is a bad cold to the vast majority of people who contract it. Apparently its been in Washington state for nearly two months and people thought they had the flu or a cold. No biggie.

The vast majority of fatalities have been older people with preexisting conditions . If you are healthy it's about as dangerous as the flu. This virus has been hyped by the left and their media to be far worse than it is.
