I just want to formally congratulate Nikki Haley on her veeeeeery close win in Vermont yesterday (solely on the backs of liberal voters). You know that's the case when a very liberal state like Vermont has more voters participating in the REPUBLICAN primary than in the Democrat primary.

    Anyway, she's GAINING MOMENTUM!!!!!! :roflol:

First the District of Corruption, and now Vermont... She might even reach 100 delegates if she sticks it out a bit longer... :roflol:

Looks like Nikki is out. But she isn't going to go quietly. It seems she believes in her ability to drag support away from Trump so it can lead to another Biden term. If we hadn't believed in the past that she was a trojan horse, just watch what she does in the coming days. Her support is mostly democrats who voted for her. But will she really run alone on an independent ticket to try to ensure that Joe Biden wins?

She never had a chance in the R party.
    Non white, non male.
She's the 1st female ever to win any primary in history or R primaries. So she made a tiny tiny inroad breakthrough.

But it will be decades before any non white will win in the R party for president.
    Maybe even a century.

If Nikki Haley thinks she can be a hero by getting Biden elected to another term, she can join John Kasich as a Republican pariah. Kasich told the Democrats at their convention that “He had reached a crossroads.” He was right. He took the left turn as a Biden supporter and ended up in the political graveyard. Nikki will end up there too if she goes to the political dark side.

You do live in an illusionary world, don’t you? All Republicans are racist, hate women and the LGBQ+ community.

Funny, your side did elect Obama, but you rejected all the women in 2020 for an old fart who had been a senator for well over 30 years and a two term VP.

True Republicans have voted for her as well. The rest have decided to join or acquiesce to the Cult of Donald.

Beneficiaries of America's many socialist policies should agree that socialism is a good thing. Sometimes it's right in the name, as in the case of Social Security.

But I don't know why socialists would support her over Twitler. Seems more likely it's people who are concerned about what he did in his first term and not necessarily socialists who don't want him back.

What a crock. She was Governor of South Carolina, not exactly the most "diverse" GOP stronghold state. How do you explain her Governorship? She won the Republican primary against three old white men, then won the election against a white male Democrat candidate.

She then lost the SC primary by over 20 points to Trump, running against an old white man (two old white men if you include Binkley). In roughly the same electorate.

Might have more to do with her being a virulent neo-con warhawk than her being barely not white or having a vulva. The Republican base has changed. Ordinary conservative voters have wised up to the neocons in their party. Hopefully this is their last hurrah before fading into the dustbin of history.

So , Nikki or any republican politician who doesn’t support and help Trump to be elected POTUS they all go to “Political dark side”?

It is not about Niki or Liz or Kasich political view, political ideology, or personal conviction or their 30+ years work on conservative causes, but if they don’t bow to the orange god and help him to be POTUS then they all will end up in “political graveyard”.

Well , I guess we DEMS are right. republican party no longer about policies or ideology , it is about sacrifice yourself to the orange god.

No, if you don't support the Republican nominee, you can stand down and endorse no one. That's what the Bush family should have done in 2016 if they thought Trump was that bad.

It's not like your party as nominated Bill Clinton, Walter Mondale or Jimmy Carter. I didn't agree with them, but they are honest men who were competent to hold the job. Biden is senile and crooked. He needs to retire. No person of integrity can look at him and say he needs to be elected for another four years.

Again, republican party became “ Support our nominee or stand down”. It’s not about policy or ideology, or conviction.

I do agree with you , Jimmy carter is an honest man.

By the way Joe Biden the senile passed more significant bill and improved US economy better then Clinton and Jimmy combined.

The delusionary world is the one you just created out of nothing.
If you're not capable of reading what is posted, why bother responding?

In 2020, I rejected a 2x impeached liar that could not bring the country together during a crisis of a pandemic.
An incompetent leader who lost for being so incompetent.

Now you've shown you can't post about the topic of Haley.
No woman has ever won a primary R race before her. She's female. MAGA's in general won't vote for females. And she's not white. MAGAs in general won't vote for non whites.

There's 5 black members of congress, out of near 300 R member of congress. That's about 3.5% representation for 13% of the black population.
Election facts show what I say is true.

    Don't be mad.
    Just accept what is true.
She won 2 primaries and dropped out before the 1/2 way point.
One of her primary wins was DC.

I am posting about the National election for president. Not an individual State election.
She lost her primary in her own State. They must have not liked her term as Governor?

How does being a Gov of a State make one a warhawk?
The R base has not changed. They just became more open and vocal with the 2x impeached incumbent loser as the spokesperson.
They became more open and vocal when a black skinned president won 2X.

Well in fairness your speculation is also something to mention. He slurs words which is one phenomena. He has sudden inability to use words in the correct context or say them and has gaps and constant disjointed switching from one idea to another most often unrelated to one another which all show aphasia. George Bush Sr. had it but when you play back his speeches he could still remain on topic. In Trump's case his adhd caused one form of it. Now though his aphasia is acute and you are dead on another symptom is as you say his repetition of certain words or phrases over and over. At one point her fixated on the word "huge", then at one point he fixated on making a "bing" noise in his speeches. At one point he would never speak without the ok 666 finger symbol. One can freeze farm to his repeat tics, phrases and mannerisms.

Because Trump insists on being in public speaking all the time, the ability to notice his issues has become obvious. All kidding aside, I hate Trump but to me this is past partisan politics. I worry about a man who clearly can not discuss domestic and foreign policy issues and spends 100% of his focus on his feeling persecuted and how everyone who challenges him is stupid, etc.

With due respect I am Canadian. Americans vote for who they deem fit. Me, I am what you Americans call a moderate, someone equally as comfortable with Mitt Romney or Biden the only difference being Romney is younger. I also was mad at Haley waiting so long to go had to head with Trump and I think she has great command of foreign policy issues. However her making a statement the US was not racist was strange. All countries have racism, agism, all the isms.

Haley to me could have beaten Biden. I think the health issue would have put her over.

Biden has brought some decency back to the office but he with utmost respect is too frail now.

Never have the Vice President candidates been so important. All the Republicans I know supported McCain, Reagan, Romney. I could not for a second believe any of them would support Trump if for no reason what he has said in favour of Putin, Kim, and against his own service people.

No it wasn't that she's a white lady that lied about not being a white lady. It was the warmongering and the creepy social Media stuff.

A very well-reasoned and well-written reply. I like to think of myself (and millions more Americans like me) as mostly 'moderate', although officially as an "unaffiliated Independent" people of my 'stripe' just usually end up being 'punching bags' for opponents in both the far-Left and far-Right camps. You have a considerably higher opinion of Joe Biden than I do, but that surely doesn't mean for one moment that I want to see Donald Trump back in the White House....

All my long life, with one exception, I've felt that we Americans have been in pursuit of "the lesser of two evils". That one exception was President Ronald Reagan. I'd have included President John F. Kennedy, too, but I was way too young to be able to vote for him.... Often I fantasize that we could have a president who is a synthesis of both Reagan and Kennedy. AH, now what a president THAT would be!
