If Haley wants to be viable in 2028, she well need to support Trump even if it is a bit tepid. The Republicans have a history of nominating second place finishers like Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Bob Dole and John McCain.

 

You forget that we will have at least two years of Kamala being president before the 2028 election. People will be more than happy then to vote for Nikki.

People tend to vote for the president who is in office. The big exception was Gerald Ford in 1976, but he had a lot Nixon baggage.

Kamala will have to be a really bad president to lose that race. And if the Democrats control both Houses of Congress and the White House, they pass laws that will insure that there will never be another competitive presidential election. Not having to show a vote ID will be the cornerstone to perpetual voter fraud, but they were add more to it.
