Ok, wow, a friend of a guy rescuing Chinese girl babies is saying this huh? Back to reality, please. Everyone has that one uncle who served and comes home and tells wonderful stories, they may be funny or not but wow, what an incredible story teller he is! Well, the military is full of these stories, a bit of truth, piled up with a whole bunch of fiction. The start, “Well there I was, Charlie was all around me…” comes to mind.

“Would you be willing to fire upon US Citizens?”; sounds like a psychology question that would be asked to get a really high security clearance. I mean, don’t you want to know that people who work really close to the president and are in charge of the military are not nuts? I do, so this question might be asked, right? I don’t know, I don’t have a clearance that high, but it sounds reasonable to be asked that, BTW, the answer would be; “Is the citizen attempting to cause physical harm to myself, family, innocent people, or those I am sworn to protect?”

The fact is, the military does not randomly fire upon ENEMY combatants, if they do, they can be charged with murder. It’s simply not their job, they are there to remove the ABILITY for the enemy to become aggressive, forcing the opposition to the negotiating table. Yeah, that’s the reality of it, we force the enemy to the negotiating table to form the terms of the surrender, not very romantic huh?

The days of pauperizing the enemy off the face of the earth died with the Romans, or even before that, I will say the Egyptians. Plus, the military is full of American Civilians, do you really think they sleep, eat, shower, go to the mall and all in their uniform? They are an American first, then a soldier, it’s just that a M4 brings out the highlights in their eyes, that’s all. The weapons they use is for defensive purposes, meaning they don’t call in an airstrike if their not being shot at.

Has anyone ever heard of a military target being “those guys over there”? No, it’s that weapons factory, communications facility, or plutonium enriching factory. Make sense? So in conclusion, U.S. Citizens, or citizens of any country are simply not a target and is illegal, not only in U.S. law, in the Uniform Code of Military Justice, NATO laws, the Constitution, and any other form of laws that soldiers must adhere to. If this happened, other countries would invade our government and put them up on charges of Crimes against Humanity.

War sucks, but it’s not a video game; the stuff that comes out of Hollywood, no matter how historically accurate it is, is not a documentary. Don’t loose any sleep over this.

 

I doubt they would put their families in jeopardy that way.

 

Our military doesn't fire upon combatants now because our politicians (and right now that means the PRESIDENT) tell them not to.

Our prez doesn't want our military to kill off our enemies..but he will have no problem telling them to kill us. I promise you, he doesn't give a (*)(*)(*)(*). He thinks we are his property, to do with as he wants. He despises us more than he despises hostiles who target our people.

And you people voted for him. I try not to be a vindictive person, but I have a hard time not wanting every bad thing that comes of his election to be visited, personally, upon the people who voted for him...maybe not the first time, but certainly the second time.

It means this notion that Pres Obama and the US military plans to execute US citizens is a complete fabrication. Your little fantasy dreams of chaos are just that, dreams.

 

So far I have seen no proof of the OP claim. That said, while in the Army, as a Grunt (11B), and stationed at Ft Hood, we practiced riot contol tactics and it did include the possiblity of firing on US citzens. Regular Army troops are not intended to be used on US soil against Americans, that job is normally left to the National Guard units, but in a crisis Reglar troops can be authorized. Think of this way, if you are called up to control a riot and once there someone started shooting at you, would you shoot back, we all know the answer so there ya go, would US Army troops shoot at American Civilians, yes.

 

I agree with you. The question then becomes how long would the shooting commence.

 

The issue is not if the regime can get a few political generals to fire on anti regime Americans but if the actual folk expected to do the shooting would. I do not believe they would regardless of orders. They are not political hacks or tools of the regime but are instead our best and brightest. The Political general would say shoot, the troops under him would probably say no...This is not the military of Kent State.

 

Nah, thats not very realistic. Some definately would follow orders. The real question must be for how long.
They went door to door during Katrina. Was anyone killed? We'll probably never know. There is video of a little 80 yr old lady gettin a beat down for having a pistol in her hand inside her house.

What does he do when whole states decline to enforce gun confiscation? That's nullification, folks. Can he tolerate nullification? Andrew Jackson wouldn't. Andrew Jackson threatened to bring US troops into SC and hang John C. Calhoun over nullification of the Tariff of Abomination. Nobody at the time - including Calhoun - thought Jackson was bluffing, so Calhoun backed down and lived to a ripe old age.

True, that is. The Police who are theoretically trained to serve and protect. As opposed to (in this scenario) young gung ho soldiers trained to kill, willfully following orders that give them that option with impunity.

military are sworn to protect against foreign and DOMESTIC enemies. If some militia is formed to protect the second amendment it will be dealt with accordingly.

military commanders will be court martial if they don't follow the commander in chiefs order, and don't think for one second every single commander will not follow orders eventually one will.

finally due process of law must only protect the second amendment, not force by private citizens so they are barking up the wrong tree.

 

If they fail to obey the order to shoot us, they will be court marshaled.
