If the unintended consequences of this crusade to ban guns results in a dirty civil war, I can't imagine that anyone is going to be enjoying themselves and eating popcorn as a spectator. Such a civil war would likely be as agonizingly painful as the first one, probably more so, since there would be no front lines and no safe area for anyone, anywhere.
