It has happened many times in other countries controlled by the so-called "progressives."

Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, the UK.

Libs cannot stand the thought of guns in the hands of the people because that represents a threat to their beloved central government.

I think you are misguided. Libs cannot stand the thought of "assault weapons" in the hands of loonies. Adjust accordingly so you don't make inane comments.

I have listened to Cuomo and he makes a lot more sense than the loonies on this Forum who are forming their own backyard militia.

That's what these loonies are asserting.

I don't think "serious grabbing" was ever the gist of the reason for discussions, more like banning assault weapons, which I have yet to hear a sensible gun-owner describe the very need for one.

To hear them talk, the guvment is comming to take their guns and they're gonna shoot anyone that comes to their door and looks like guvment! If Republicans in Congress fail to address the issue of sensible gun ownership than Obama has every right to enact Executive Order, after all, whether righties like it or not, he is the President.

    The Russians lived it!

"What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question. They hate guns in those whom they have slated for a barrel to the back of the ear."

Truer words have never been spoken.

Self-Respect should never be based on how well armed you are.

When a person is a political prisoner in a Gulag Re-education Camp, there is NO self respect.

You really are a special kind of stupid aren't you.
If I told you all those prescribed drugs were produced and vigorously marketed to doctors with profit incentives by big evil pharmaceutical corporations would your ears perk up?

And Canada's is just half of that with 10% of your population, yet my guns don't tie into my self-respect, nor do a lot of Canadians.

There is no such thing as an "assault weapon". It's a made up term that mean what politicians say it means, and historically has been defined by nothing more than cosmetic features. Cosmetics do not affect how a firearm operates.

Obama and Executive Order? Nothing new there. As far as guns; don't see a need for individuals to own machine guns or anything but hand-guns or rifles. Both hand-guns and rifles should satisfy the need for defense and recreational hunting. But, until the Government can stop the import of "assault weapons" and the manufacturing and sale of "assault weapons", citizens should be allowed to purchase them as a hand-gun against a machine type gun isn't much good when it comes to defending ones person or property.

Machine guns are tightly regulated in the US. I really don't know why this always comes up. We are not talking about a machine gun ban. None of these shootings were done with a machine gun.

I think a LOT of people, who haven't got the first clue what the difference is between say, a 5.56 and a .223 round is probably honestly (and innocently) think when politicians talk about "assault weapons", they're actually talking about "machine guns", and the politicians not only know this, they intentionally exploit it.

Yeah. Not getting funny here but so every one knows:

Both the Military .223 (5.56 NATO nomenclature) and the civilian .223 fire the same size bullet (.224). The civilian cartridge (that is what we call the case, primer, powder and bullet) uses thinner brass at a lower pressure with bullet weights ranging form 45 to about 68 grains in various configurations. The military round is standard and is a penetrating FMJ round. Some rounds called tracers (phosphorus to make a trail so you can walk to target) may be used.

    Just saying:)

Not to be nitpicky but the civilian 223 uses 35- 90 gn projectiles. Things evolve. I would'nt doubt it if someone corrects me by finding an even lighter frangible.

I got my info out of my Hornady reloading manual. I know the lightest are used with other .223 rounds but I honestly did not think something that light could make it without fragmenting at 3100-3600 FPS.

Thanks for the info as most of my post was off of the top of my head. I should have looked:)

Ah I see, you are calling Obama etc a Nazi, become he has started a policy of violence on the streets burning Jewish businesses, taken up a creed to sterilize Jews and the disabled ,removed democracy, started a massive military build-up and re-claimed parts of Canada claiming them to be part of 'America'. Also, not his new military blitz strategy bodes badly for Mexico...

Wait no, none of this happened? Wait, you war...lying??joking?? mad???

Obama is clearly a fascist if not a NAZI.

The Nazi's were Germans and they applied fascism in a uniquely German way.

Obama is attempting to implement a fascist dictatorship for Americans who are not exactly like the Germans.

Again I was using it for comparison only. I do not like the man and his actions do and will show the truth.

    No, you are.
Sure, just as much as my ears perk up by the disgusting app promoted by the NRA in the wake of the shooting of 20 innocent children. So, what is your point? Do you have one?

Gun owners are defending a controversial 3D shooter app released by the National Rifle Association that allows players to work on simulated target practice by firing at coffin-shaped targets.
