So you're for raising taxes on the top 1% so we can lower it on the lower brackets, is that what I'm hearing or are you just being disingenuous and incoherent again?

If this is true, expect a slaughter in 2012.If they think the Tea Party was angry before, that was nothing if tax hikes for the middle class are going to happen.
Obama just sealed his 1 term fate.

That is what is pathetic about this thread, and the liberals posting in it.

The extension of the Bush tax cuts until Dec 31, 2012, has not changed. Apparently some idiot lib blogger, and possibly even the WH, wants to make it clear that Obama can let them lapse at that time, and put forth an image that Obama is holding some sort of trump card.

Yeah. Right. The Nov 2012 elections will call that shot. Its a non issue. Just a liberal wet dream.

    What a disgusting image, btw.

LOL!!! Wait, OMG! You Mean The Wall Street Journal agreed with an opinion that would concur with the interests of the wealthy???? Shocker! Talk about drinking the kool-aid!

Okay look, Clinton has some of the blame for the whole affordable housing thing but was nowhere near as culpable as Bush and the GOP House that deregulated LTV's and also the CMBS market.
A bank can afford to have one or even a dozen mortgages in its portfolio go bad. But take a few thousand wrap-arounds at a 125% LTV and bundle them together? That's a nuclear meltdown. As we witnessed.

But hey, maybe you can REALLY shock us by showing that FOX news agreed with a Conservative view on something!

That was under Clinton in a bill pushed by his Treasury Secretary Rob Ruben

Wrong. It was Bush who deregulated the CMBS market as well as the credit swaps.

How easily you ignore the repeal of Glass Steagall, at the insistence of Robert Ruben, Clinton's Treasury Secretary, done to enable the merger of Farmer's and Citibank, into Citigroup. Yeah, Ruben went on to work for Citigroup, and eventually becomes its chair, after politics. Amazing dat !

Meanwhile, when Bush was inaugurated, the housing bubble was already well started and half-inflated. Thank you Clinton, Ruben, and Cuomo.

Ah. I see. Of course. The Dems are 100% to blame for everything. Got it.

Yeah, they would just be reinstated on January 22 by the new Republican majorities in both houses and the new Republican President.

LOL. Okay. This is about winning and losing. Of course. Never about facts.

He seems to forget it was the GOP, led by Phil Gramm the repealed Glass-Stegal. That let's see, who was in control when rate were lowered in 2001 to 1% and then raised them dramatcially in '05 & '06 until the crash hit all those wonderful ARMS?
That it was in 2004 (under whom?) that they deregulated the net capital rule that allowed all those investment banks to go trillions into debt.

See, I have no problem blaming Clinton for his part. This is because I'm not a whackjob blinded by party. But I recognize whackjobs when I see them and silly little things like facts aren't every going to affect their opinions. So their opinion always comes down to "Dems are to blame for everything." You two are exactly like the Libs who claim everything is still Bush's fault. So you can feel good about the fact that there is no difference between you and lots of Liberals! :date:

And of course, there are those truly stupid little followers who are so clueless they can't even comment on the thread. They'll let someone else say something they are clueless about and then say "their side won". That's very cute. Would you like a pat on the head?

Now. Do you have any other questions /comments or do you need to wait for the guy who at least can make an inaccurate argument, to piggyback off of? Ah. Yes. That would be the case, wouldn't it.

So much for the b1tch slapping... LOL

Hugs & Kisses, Your New BFF! :handshake:

I expected nervous laughter and silliness like this. Typical of the left when pinned down.

Of course he doesn't. He's a student mooching off of what's left of the Michigan Welfare State. He's exactly the kind of person we're trying to get kicked off the Dole.

After he gets his degree he'll move on to Government service and work from the inside to steal your tax money and expand the bureaucratic socialism of America.

:mrgreen:Sure. Just go to your bank and write them an overdraft check. Then tell them you don't cut spending. Better take a gun with you.

Now, if the deal passes, the issue of raising revenues will move to the new congressional committee. The White House said if tax reform does not succeed there, the tax cuts put forward by former President George W. Bush will be history.

And when the Bush tax cuts ARE history, the rich will pay $70 billion more each year and the sacrosanct middle class will pay $300 billion more each year.

I like it. EVERYBODY paying their "FAIR SHARE!"

I notice you did what ConservaRepubs do when FACTS are present - avoid and dodge!

Nice dodge. You know you are truly a ConservaRepub whackjob when you skip two other posts because they have those annoying things (facts). Like:

"He seems to forget it was the GOP, led by Phil Gramm the repealed Glass-Stegal. That let's see, who was in control when rate were lowered in 2001 to 1% and then raised them dramatcially in '05 & '06 until the crash hit all those wonderful ARMS?

You two are exactly like the Libs who claim everything is still Bush's fault. So you can feel good about the fact that there is no difference between you and lots of Liberals!"

Nah - you wouldn't want to address that part! That would require thinking for yourself! Directly addressing facts and such. So what did you say about the actual topic thread? Everything you had the intellectual capacity to discuss:
    ZERO.

So much for the "pinned down bullsh*t" - more like "Ooops! Wait. Did you bring up any facts in of your post??? Um Hmmmm. I guess I'll answer another one! Of course not.
Weak & Stupid. Just how the GOP and TP prefers their whackjobs. Don't worry. You are just like the Libs who still blame Bush for everything! Isn't it nice to know there is no difference between you and those Liberals?
Oh, and let's not forget your immediate thing of labeling anyone not drinking your brand of kool-aid, as being "The Left"! Look at my first sentence of my first post in this thread!!! LOL!!!! Whackjobs are always so easy to spot. It's cool. Just be happy in your whackjobbery!
