    Trump is an expert at wiggling out of lawsuits and leaving other people dry. I'm surprised that his supporters don't question why he isn't putting up his own money to "stop the steal". I am also curious about why Dominion hasn't slapped him with a slander lawsuit. I doubt very seriously if he will serve any prison time.

    I've read posts claiming "the judge didn't grant discovery" or "when the judge grants discovery..." Discovery is what the two sides do before trial; there's nothing to grant.

    "Discovery" is a term of art. It's general, generic. It's not a specific procedure, policy or law. The term is used to describe pre-trial sharing of evidence by both sides, which can be done by any number of several methods. The law is quite broad on what parties can request, but it must be relevant to the case. Proprietary or other confidential material is generally not allowed. What it most certainly is not, and cannot be is a fishing expedition. The fishing trip must be complete before filing.

    I've read posts claiming that Dominion's defamation suit means they will have to open up their source code to the court. Because discovery. Lmao. Such silliness.
