One of the tactics of the Algerian resistance to French oppression was to target French cafes in Algiers as part of their nationalist resistance to French occupation. That wasn't my call either.

People often attempt to justify all kinds of actions but that doesn't necessarily make them right. Questions of legitimacy are premised on a variety of factors, one of which is the right to self-determination and the use of force to reach this objective. It's not my call to comment on their preferred 'tactic's in achieving these ends. The actions of oppressors begats resistance to the said oppression. This is the logic that underpins cause and effect.
