How do you come up with "countless thousands of casual fans"? In your dreams?

The NFL "Salute to Service" has been happening every November for many years now. It has nothing to do with the Anthem and the NFL boy-cotters. Get over yourself. The NFL doesn't care if a handful of people don't watch because our idiot in Chief told them to be upset.

In just my small area of the world, I know a slew of those "casual fans" he is referring to.

You must not get out much.

What has he done for this country? A baseball announcer? He would be the first to tell you that his contribution was 0 compared to what Thingamabob did for this country. He put his life on the line. That trumps all.

How does it give him the right to judge another man in uniform where bobs service record makes him above Scully's and makes that judgment of Scully unquestionably valid?

Scully did as his country told him to do.

And another poster thinks less of them because of that and, in fact, put himself above him as if his service makes him more valid.

To be stupid enough to accept that in a poster is despicable.

He was in the Navy. And he's a celebrity, Like the Hollywood celebs that progressives believe are smarter than anyone else and therefore their opinions have more value.

I am not accepting anything. I said that it was simply an observation. Don't make something out of nothing. And his service in particular is more valid, since he was in harms way without proper military support from his government, and he survived. He is a hero. Vin Scully is a sports broadcaster and the best in the business. Let's face it. There is a difference.

I made one too that was equally valid as his.

Yet, you called ME out on it and not him.

And, after I directed you to those quotes of him and why he made them, you STILL have not called him out on them.

Do you ignorantly thinkbelieve that, because of Scully's "lesser" military service than bobs, that Scully has no (No, as in zip, zero, nada) validity whatsoever or even a right to cite his service when he mentions that in the same breath of giving his opinion on his love for America and the flag?

No of course not, since Scully qualified his army experience in his statement. And the validity thing is an observation and not a put-down. Not watching any more NFL games is only hurting him, a true sports fan. He will change his mind, at least I hope he will because he is missing out.

According to Scully himself, he effectively had 0 service, and I know this from my readings about the Battle of the Bulge. So this whole thing is moot.

    Link, please.

And you only consider my points I made as moot because you're too much of a chicken.... to answer them.

"Cuz, if you did answer them and were actually truthful about it, you KNOW you'll expose the hypocrite that you truly are.

Now I am a hypocrite? Shame on you. I can't remember the link, because I read about the Battle of the Bulge in the 5th grade.
If my dad was alive, he would verify my viewpoint, because he was there waiting to be called, just like Vin Scully.

    Yo Thingamabob,
Ain't this guy a trip? He goes on and on. He reminds me of Gloria Allred--a pit bull
attached to Trump's arm, and won't let go.

I ask questions you can't answer.

    Noted.

So is your complete capitulation because you are incapable of having a reasonable discussion.
