Certainly I live in faith that Wales will win the rugby world cup, but that is by the faith as defined in the bible,

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

So it is more hope than a justified true belief, is that the faith you have that your god exists?

Not so, we can prove many things about the bible, that it is full of historical inaccuracies, that the qualities claimed of your god are not reflected in the bible stories, genocide and slavery are just two of the contradictions for a god claimed to be all loving. We can prove that the gospels were written by anonymous authors and only given names a thousand years after they were written. We can prove that the ending of Mark was not in the earliest translations. We can prove that there is not yet discovered an original text of the gospels. These are facts that we can prove with absolute proof but are uncomfortable for the believer to admit!

There is no contradiction in logic when referring to anything to do with Almighty God The Creator. He, Himself is logic, therefore believing in Him is logical. In my last post to you I illustrated there is no contradiction in what you believed to be contradictory.

Let me explain very briefly why believing in Him is logical. It's logical to believe because the existence of God provides us with consistent answers to many of the more important philosophical questions asked by people.

For instance, we know that there cannot be an infinite amount of past time; it is illogical to claim we are currently at the...end... of an infinite string of moments. So there had to be some beginning moment. Therefore, there has to be something, some cause, that is itself non-caused. Logically, this is God, the Eternal One, the Uncaused Being that caused everything else to come into existence.

I recommend that you read the "First Cause Argument". This argument was presented a very long time ago by the medieval theologian St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274), who was influenced by the thought of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. Aquinas argued that the observable order of causation is not self-explanatory.

The argument from St. Thomas Aquinas is so well eloquently written that is unquestionably brilliant, reasonable, rational, intellectually and logically sound that it would be very hard to disagree with it unless you have one of those closed minds with tunnel vision. So again I recommend anyone who is not handicapped with a closed mind and tunnel vision to go read St. Thomas Aquinas brilliant "First-Cause Argument".

Sorry rahl but the only thing that has been completely disproven on my threads in regards to you is your intellectual honesty. Several times now I have called you out for your habitual propensity to be intellectually dishonest in other words an habitual liar.

All intellectually honest people know it's a fact that no one can prove/disprove the existence of Almighty God The Creator.

So since the first-cause argument is associated with the existence of Almighty God The Creator the argument cannot be proven to be true nor can the argument be proven to be false.

So in conclusion nothing has been proven/disproven and that's a fact as all intellectually honest people know it is except for people like you who have a knack for being intellectually dishonest.

    This is not sound logic.

You can prove an argument false without proving what is being argued for false.

If you argue that your car is red because I have a cheese sandwich, that argument can be proven false, both because I don't have a cheese sandwich, and because my having or not having one wouldn't in any way prove your car is red. Your car could be red, and I could have a cheese sandwich, or your car could not be red, and I could still have a cheese sandwich.

you understand that you, I, and everyone reading knows this is a lie right? I proved to you that at no time in the entire 4.5 billion year history of the earth was there ever a global flood. Thomas Aquinas's argument regarding the first cause has also been proven incorrect.
I don't have to disprove it. The default position is that it doesn't exist. You are making the claim it does, so you bear the sole burden of proof. So far, everything you've provided as evidence has been proven false.
the first cause argument assumes a creator/god, which is why it's self defeating as an argument. You would have to prove a god exists before you can assert it created or caused anything.
as you know, this is a complete lie.

It is amazing that the Almighty God The Creator can't prove its own existence and that we are suppose to believe 2,000-3,000 year-old fairy tales about the creature that ancient idiots dreamed up.

Maybe God is just shy. Maybe God is a secret and by telling everyone about him Christians are doing him dirty.

Some pretty harsh words mate - and you give no substantiation for your claim that rahl is these nasty things. .

From my experience with your posts - if your claim is correct - this then would be a serious case of pot calling kettle black.

You claim to answer tough questions - but my experience is that you run from such -and run from scripture - sans a few passages vague enough to fit within your personal dogma.

Hmm .. I suppose it is logical to belief in Logic - I will give you that one. What is the name of this God of Logic you are referring to. Clearly it is not YHWH .. as this was an irrational flip flopping God with the most petty and nasty of human characteristics.

No need to explain why belief in logic is logical . what needs explaining is how you get answers to important philosophical questions from God .. is it by text message - email - zoom meeting ?

are you sure you are not "Speaking for God" once again... committing the "unforgivable sin" ?

You were warned about the dark side of the force - do not give in

Almighty God The Creator wants people to come to Him through faith. His Best Selling Book Of All-Time doesn't even attempt to prove His existence, again because He wants us to come to Him through our faith in Him.

How do you want Him to prove Himself? Do you want Him to visit each and everyone of us to prove His existence? or how about periodically He aligns the stars in the night sky to spell out, "I exist because I am!"

C'mon now wyrd those two examples won't ever happen. So He is giving each and everyone of us the free will choice to believe or not believe, the choice is ours to make. Now as you well know as do others that choice of yours has eternal consequences. So choose wisely but of course for you it's all a 2,000-3,000 year-old fairy tale so your choice as of now is unbelief...so be it.

Now as you already know by coming to my threads, this belief in Him, of having faith in Him is not based on blind faith. I have presented evidence throughout these threads of mine but if you haven't been taking any notes there is one post of mine that you could review over that presents evidence. Refer to post #890 on pg. 36 of this thread.

Of course I don't expect you to start believing in Him after reviewing that post of mine, it's going to take a person like you, a hardcore unbeliever some kind of miracle which would be a miracle in itself to happen.

Most unbelievers don't want to believe period because of a myriad of reasons. One reason is because they hate the notion for an Almighty God The Creator to exist, they hope He doesn't exist at all because they just don't want there to be an Almighty God The Creator and so they continue on unbelieving all the way up to their deaths. And so do you blame Almighty God The Creator for having such a person be separated from Him for all eternity?...well of course not!

Almighty God The Creator could never ever forgive a person of that sin that's why it's an unpardonable sin. The only unpardonable sin today is that of continued unbelief, all other sins are pardonable. There is no pardon for a person who dies in his/her rejection of Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is at work in the world, convicting the unsaved of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

    We Read in Scripture:

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said,

8 And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. John 16:8 NLT

If a person resists that conviction and remains unrepentant, then he is choosing hell over heaven.

    We Read in Scripture:

6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6 NLT

The object of faith is Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. There is no forgiveness for someone who dies without faith in Christ.

    We Read in Scripture:

31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” Acts 16:31 NLT

So wyrd keep believing it's a 2,000-3,000 year old fairy tale, you are exercising your right to make your individual free will choice. Maybe a miracle will happen to you to change your free will choice but again it's your free will choice and so be it.

Whatever will happen to you has already happened to countless other people. Heck, one guy had two nukes dropped on him in the same week and he lived through it and died from old age many years later.

You have about as much faith as the paint on the wall. If you had faith in the Jesus character you would be able to do what he said a person who had faith could easily do. Even his own buddies didn't believe in him and neither has anyone else in history. Maybe he was just lying? Even he didn't pass his own test.

Jesus was not copied from Horus. That is something that people say because they do not want to believe that Jesus is their Creator and Savior. https://maryjosharp.com/resurrection-myths-vs-resurrection-of-2/

I have noticed that many Christians feel the need to demand atheists must be choosing to not believe and don’t want to believe, etc. Mitt is not alone in this. Many will go on to say that atheists don’t want to believe because they want to sin, or that they actually do believe and are rebelling against God.

I wonder why they feel the need to project all of this. Would considering that atheists may be genuinely not convinced and acting in good faith, not secretly believing, not deciding against belIeving, but just genuinely not convinced...

Would taking atheists at their word be a threat to the theists own belief? Is it that fragile? If that’s not it, then why else do they feel the need to project all of this?

I don't think atheists are arrogant. I think there is enough evidence that atheism is absurd and should be questioned but they don't fully understand that they are walking away from God. https://www.gotquestions.org/atheism.html

The stories are indeed Fantastic but they are not Impossible especially since we are talking about Almighty God The Creator! Almighty God is the author of all the Fantastic, Possible Stories contained in the Holy Bible. Through a process called "Inspiration" He inspired the writers of the Bible to write down what He wanted them to reveal to mankind.

So once again He indeed is Fantastic, would you not expect that I mean after all He created the heavens and the earth. If there is no God, no Creator, then you're saying everything in existence just came about by happenstance by accident. That would be some magical accident, some illogical magical accident...wouldn't you say? You like to spew out logic but then the ironic thing with you is that you're being illogical to believe everything came about accidentally... which is impossible because it defies logic. Logic tells us from nothing, nothing comes. Logic also tells us nothing can create itself into existence. Logic also tells us there has to be something uncaused, something eternal in order to bring everything else into existence. That's where Almighty God The Creator, The Eternal One comes into the picture.

    We Read in Scripture:

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2 NLT

No that is why you believe in the christian god, you stated the atheist position is absurd now can you give your opinion of the other positions. Is Vishnu absurd?
What historical proof do you have for Jesus?

Vishnu and other pagan gods don't have the sense of holiness and justice and love for their creation that the God of the Bible has. The historical proof of Jesus is that the apostles were all real people who lived with Christ and they didn't change their beliefs about who Jesus was even when they were being persecuted. They had nothing to gain by preaching the gospel.
