You must have caught on by now that nothing you discuss will be even tangentially related to a WanRen response.

Study that, and the stuff about false witness some more, and take a whack at
    actually applying them.

I don't know if you have been following the discussion between Islam and Christianity in other threads but it has been discuss many times the difference between the Bible and Quran it's history and chronological events the full reasons have been debated extensively in which when ever it is being discuss Muslims and their supporters will always argue about Islamophobia any discussion about Islam has always been derailed by Muslims accusing Christians to be Islamophobia. We can discuss that again in it's proper thread right now here I am responding to your concern that there is no clear respond between Bible and Quran and I am saying that there has.

If I understand your argument you are saying that people will believe what ever they are brought up to believe, right?

What is it that you are trying to discuss about the Bible and Quran?

Maybe you can show me where in your bible that indicate God has not assign Moses to be His messenger.?
Here is the True Bible that God appear to Moses and assign Moses to act in His behalf.

    Exodus 3:
6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

7 The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.
8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.
10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

15 God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord,[d] the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’
“This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.

Put those two books side by side and go page by page and you will come out in the end that the Bible is the True Holy Book

Why wouldn't you agree with the Bible over the Quran have you done comparing them?

No, you answered it long before now. You've displayed your deficiencies for some time now.
One need be no more than a poor beginner to know English better than you do.
    No "mastery" needed.

AND, you lied when you said I claimed to be a master. Zero integrity.

I'm not really looking to get into a Bible vs. Qur'an debate. I've had some before, I'm sure I'll have some in the future, but right now, I'm primarily looking to discuss the reason people give for being Christians. Bringing up the Qur'an was not to illustrate another belief that was tenable, it was to bring up any belief at all. I agree that the Qur'an is not to be taken as true for no reason, but my argument would stay relevant even if the Qur'an was obviously false since it didn't hinge on the believability of the religion in question. Not believing in the Qur'an is not a good reason to believe the Bible.

My argument was not that people believe what they were brought up to believe, although I've certainly made similar arguments in the past. My argument is that if you take the belief in any book, Quran, Bible, Vedas, Eddas or any other book, and you take that information as the ultimate truth, then you have no mechanism for falsifying it, so the fact that you can justify anything in the Bible as metaphor, misinterpretation or similar means that it cannot be a good reason for believing it. It can be used to justify beliefs once you already believe in the Bible, but since the discussion revolves around a person who does not believe in the Bible, that is irrelevant.

I hope I made sense, I'm more than a tad drunk, if anything is unclear, ask me to elaborate.

Yes you made very good sense if only the others will be like you very consistent, clear, concise and less hostile.
Going to the topic why I believe the Bible is the Truth and why I believe in Christianity? The number one reason is the New Testament, Jesus Christ as a man has demonstrated what it really take to live a truly good and upright person at a time where human rights is none existence, he live a very exemplary life he walk the walk not just full of talk he is a very wise man who believe in God and he live up to it by suffering and dying on the cross. He could have easily deny he is Christ and live a comfortable life. He dare to stand up against the Jewish hierarchy and the Roman rulers under threat of torture and death, then there were his miracles that have really caught the world of his time attention the educated, the powerful, the wealthy and the rulers and finally his resurrection that proof indeed he is the Son of God that He is God. Modern science, medicine and archaeology have been conducting many extensive research to verify Jesus Christ, his life, his teachings, his miracles and most of all his resurrection that happen at a time where human civilization has develop a good writing and records keeping system. If Jesus had come some 10,000 - 5000 years ago were there were hardly any eye witnesses to witness his works, teachings and miracles then probably Christianity will not have been around.

There are many things in the Bible that are factual and historical in fact the OT is about the history of the birth of the nation of Israel. The NT is about Judaism that was taught by Jesus it was meant for all not just for the Jews but because the Jewish hierarchy resisted such universality this resulted in the birth of Christianity.

My question is why are God's moral laws and commandments correct/the most valid?

Thank you, I do my best to not come across as hostile, but it is sometimes hard when my main points are to find flaws in other people's arguments.

I am willing to agree that if one believes the New Testament to be factual and accurate, it would be reasonable to be a Christian. I'm not convinced by the arguments you give, seeing how I think a person can live an exemplary life without being the son of God or correct in spiritual matters, but I think there are other things in the Bible which, if true, certainly point to Christianity.

The question then becomes "why believe in the Bible?". You give a reason, it being accurate about the birth of the nation of Israel, but I don't find that to be a good reason to believe in the Bible. I think a book, and certainly a collection of books, like the Bible, is able, if not likely to contain some things that are true and some things that are false.

Previously in this thread, I have taken a quite special but what I've found to be a very general approach to these reasons. That is comparing it to other notions of similar position in other religions, which you and other Christians presumably don't believe in. They don't even have to be religions, often the approach can work with works of fiction or pretty much anything. Let's take the example of Hercules. The tales of Hercules include much accurate information about geography, life in Greece (or wherever he supposedly ventured), rulers and so on. Yet we don't believe that the tales of Hercules are true (at least not in full). Clearly, we're using some other method than the one given to single out the Bible as true.

Similar arguments can compare the Bible to the Qur'an, the Vedas, Spider-man and many other texts. Even if someone was able to find flaws in every single text apart from the Bible and argue that that is what makes the Bible special, there is nothing fundamental that would keep someone from writing such a text. Even a fortune cookie can be 100% accurate every now and again.

One truth, followed by three silly falsehoods. And, of course, you seem most unwilling to admit
that you lied when you said I claimed to be a "master of English". Telling lies about me does not
    impair my integrity.

What makes you think "god" would accept with open arms someone who just cant quit lying?

I know enough about the Bible to know and recognize if someone such as you is lying or distorting about it.
Answer my question please are you a master of the Bible?

You should stop lying about yourself the more you post the more lies about you are revealing. If you are truly interested in protecting what ever integrity you have you should post something about the issue in this thread which is Part 7 of Post Your Tough Questions Regarding Christianity
If you want to argue and discuss about ME I or you can open a thread about that it seems there are enough anti Wanren in this forum we should have enough participant, don't you think so?

God is all forgiving, He will forgive you because He knowsyou do not know what you are talking about. The more lies you launch against God the more truth get expose and the more people especially Christians become closer more than ever to God because of the lies that get expose by people like you about God.

But you are not a master, right?
You told Taikoo that since he is not a master of English he has no right to comment on your lack of skill with the language.
Do you apply the same standard to yourself?
This is the definition of integrity.
    Do you have any?
I would not consider myself a master of the bible. Pretty dang familiar with it, but not a master.
    You are not either, correct?
I'm sure you think I have no business commenting on the bible.
Do you apply that standard to yourself?
Rhetorical question. We know you apply double standards. Your integrity was lost long ago. I'm certain you will take this opportunity to flush it further.
Or you can state you have no business commenting on the bible in any way, as you suggested Taikoo has no business commenting on your English skills.
