No it doesn't. That's Govt .. and Govt is not Society. Society is people.

The Governing Body of the People. The Rulers. They're the Lords, and the People are the peasants.

 

So govt is people, just like society.

 

"Society" does not pool together money as you imply. Taxation is a coercive/violent method that a few rulers uses to impound resources from society.

And no, members of government is NOT part of society.

No - Govt is the ruler, and we (the people) are the peasants. It's a pretty clear distinction.

This is the greatest ruse portrayed on people of the world- they think they have a say in government. This is because of two things: both ignorance of how government actually works and indoctrination. The propoganda machines work to make you pledge to your country, sing anthems and cheer thier violent war.

 

I personally don't have a problem with Govt, but I have a HUGE problem with people thinking Govt is 'society'. It's people who think like that, who invariably believe that individuals don't need to be responsible, because 'society' (IOW Govt) will take care of them if they aren't.

They don't recognise society as the sum of multiple responsible individuals, or that it can only be a society when all the individuals in it are responsible. If they accept that, they have to accept that not only is Govt not society, but that they themselves might be contributing to any societal failures they are complaining about.

Govt is part of society.

 

A Govt is fed and housed by the People, not the other way around.

 

Govt is STILL part of society.

 

And a King is still a part of his kingdom, but it's not him doing the work to keep everyone alive.

 

If this were true there would be a steady exodus from such countries to those with less tax and less society, but the opposite is true.

 

Government is formed by the people. Hired to run the things the people want.
It is possible to have corrupt government, but that is a fault, not an attribute.

Society once it reaches a moderate size has to employ some of its members to run the things they want in place. It is not possible to do these tasks on an adhoc basis.
I would be interested to see a working alternative.

 

So people aren’t already paying too use infrastructure? Oh wait, they already are, every time they fill their gas tank, or pay sales tax. Your property taxes pay for public education. This literally has nothing to do with the OP on copyright protection.

 

And that's the issue- ALL government is like this. There is no other place one can go. "We the people" was a nice concept and lasted for a time, but the vast majority of people that seek power over others (aka members of government) are inherently corrupt and thus all government is inherently corrupt.
