I know this thread is 'Police State USA', however I was listening to NPR radio this morning, and I thought this article was shocking enough that it needed to be shared. It's still about police state, but it's not in the US, but disturbing nonetheless. Pay particular attention to the bold statement within the quote, that's the disturbing part about this story. In Venezuela, A Family Blames The Police For Their Misery
Grandmother says she watched officer shoot girl, 7 By COREY WILLIAMS | Associated Press 11 hrs ago http://news.yahoo.com/grandmother-s...gwBGxhbmcDZW4tVVMEdGVzdANPQlVTTmV3czAx;_ylv=3 one in a million.............frackin' LEO..........they can't execute this (*)(*)(*)(*)er enough times.........but I guess justice was done
He should have gotten a year in maximum security's general population, with "BAD COP" tattooed on his face. Every cop involved in this home invasion and first-degree murder should get the same penalty.
Man...I started tearing up on this one. I read the quote of: I wish this on nobody, not even my worst enemies. I can't imagine the amount of horror they have to live with for the rest of their lives because of this. It's the whole 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality that got this little girl killed. Was it truly necessarily to bust into the house like that? If you have the place surrounded, wouldn't a simple wrap on the door and state 'It's the police' to let folks know you're there suffice? No, of course not, they'd rather go in there, guns a blazing, and shoot everything that walks. This 7 year old girl will never get to grow up, will never live her life, and these cops will get to live out their lives like it never even happened. Quite frankly, it makes me sick to my stomach. These are the folks that are supposed to protect & serve, not execute us.
typical cop attitude......... "We did it by the book....." yeah, right. they need to throw that book out before they kill another person. But I especially focused on this statement, WTF? They should have arrested these (*)(*)(*)(*)ers on the spot. Hell, cops think it's great when they get to pull the trigger and spray blood. It takes up to 6 LEO pigs to beat a man near to death and they are proud of their work............(*)(*)(*)(*)ers........ They consider EVERYONE a hostile...but will never cast an eye on their own. Nope, It'll be ok justifies it............ I have to wonder if they cuffed grandma while they worked to cover their tracks
North Ridgeville clears humane officer of wrongdoing for killing feral kittens, but animal group wants action Unlawful for citizens to do this, but A-OK for the 'atta boys' to take 'em out. Got to love the double standard in our society. What double standard will be next from this lot? One can only imagine. I guess these are the new terrorists we should be looking out for... Slaton Police Arrest Woman After Request To See Warrant Locked up for standing up for your rights. If cops arrest you for standing up for your rights, what are our rights then? Are they at the whims of the few? Are they whenever they feel like granting them to us? When is it perfectly legal to stand up for your rights, the basic foundations of what this country was built on, if folks get locked up for standing up for them?
With the government making databases on people, warrantless search and seizure, and generally taking a dump on the bill of rights. I decided to actually do something about it. Eyes On LEO. I made the database so users can edit is much like a wiki. Shine the lights on bad cops, and give kudos to the good cops. Think of it like a "Rate My Cop" kind of deal. It just launched a little while ago so its contents are quite barren, but the database is just waiting to be populated. All we need are people to upload their experiences and we're golden. Link in my signature.
They might just not know about it. Law enforcement is pretty far down on the list of forum topics. I know it infuriates me.
Sorry it took so long. Had to do some more wrench turning on the site. But it is primed and ready to go. Now it just needs the good people of the world to fill it up with data.
Have you hit Reddit and the /r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut forum yet? Lots of good stuff there. Also, the Drug Policy Alliance has some good articles on LEO missteps related to drugs.
Can't say as I have. So much still left to do on it. It is kind of a daunting task really. But for right now, the database is functional and working. And that is the main purpose. To be able to see what deeds an officer has been doing.
Cops Plead Guilty to Helping Plant Drugs on Woman Sexually Harassed by Judge Eyewitnesses describe the terror of DWI checkpoint shooting
Actually recording isn't a crime so long as you're on public property or have permission of private property owners. They have no reason to expect privacy given their line of work. But your remark about contempt of cop, is dreadfully, dreadfully accurate.

This is a topic that has too much source material. Sadly, it isn't hard to find recent material all the time. Something I hope to change with my fiendish website.
Im impressed. It looks like your finally waking up about the government corruption we have going on in our country. Better late than never.
