sigh....... When you make blanket statements such as you have, that falsely paints those with whom you disagree with, and you cannot accompany your hyperbole with proof, then it CAN be defined as a conspiracy theory.

So, practice what you preach, friend, and base your opinions on unbiased "reading and research". You might surprise yourself.

Sorry, but you seem to be coming off here as somewhat narrow-minded and naive. It's ironic that you chose the term; "loony".

You've missed the point. You haven't got an argument. Its even 'low brow' for the pro-gunners on here!

Quite right. The real discussion should be 'what is optimal'. This obviously should take into consideration obvious limitations that have existed before the US was even founded. Its sad that more 'pro-gun rights' folk don't understand that rights have limitations.

You can have limitations without arbitrarily banning guns. There is in fact a middle ground. Of course one must also consider to what extent limitations are allowed under the Constitution, but it should be pretty obvious that some limitations are simply going to be allowed under any Constitutional analysis.

Indeed! We get little of that though. The pro-gunners treat their position as a cult, rather than defending their rights whilst taking on-board coercive relations that can develop

Sadly, a fairly accurate depiction. It gets frustrating trying to explain to this particular kind of person that, in order to successfully litigation constitutional issues, you actually have to have a basis in reality behind your claims.

For some reason it is hard for people to accept that in the US our rights are subject to certain limitations.

When the inevitable argument comes up, "but, but, the second amendment says 'shall not be infringed'" I find it helps to make the analogy to the first amendment as a fairly comparable right. You cannot shout 'Fire' in a theater. Likewise, felons cannot possess firearms.

Oh, that's rich. You want me to prove a negative.

I find it very ironic that you accuse others of being "loony".

The "History, 'n Facts" that you could not produce, you mean?

I already know how things are. Ignorant folks cannot be changed, it appears.

Within a methodological individualist context, it requires the consideration of coercive relationships that develop from our personal preferences

It depends on the analytical approach you are taking. There would be a variance between an economic approach and a constitutional approach, the latter being relevant for those of us living in the US.

Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every FREE state.

Ayuh,... In 1986, in San Franciso county, with a pop. of 800,000, there were 11 carry permits issued by the local gestapo...

Anti-gun Loony leftwing Nut, Mayor Diane Fienstien was 1 of those 11 granted carry permits....

You may not understand the answer, but that only reflects your failure to research the topic. A most common flaw amongst the pro-gunners

You're continuing to follow a schoolyard prattle routine. It isn't appreciated. I've referred directly to what optimal legislation involves, i.e. There has to be a price correction for the coercion that develops from our personal preferences. It becomes a reaction to market failure

And a simple answer if you know what you're talking about. Why don't you?

OK, how would you change the way The People are allowed to purchase guns, and protect themselves?

I don't care about outside of the U.S.

Within the U.S., how will "optimum gun control" be achieved?

I merely expect to see the rational owner to face the true cost from their behaviour. A license fee is warranted
