Puerto Rico emergency director fired - warehouse full of Hurricane Maria supplies

    I just got back from PR today, they were protesting outside of the governor's mansion a few blocks from my hotel. One of the protesters told me that the governor's friend owned the warehouse these now expired emergency supplies were stored at, and was getting $10K a month rent from the US government, which they said the governor got a part of.

    Yep. It's strange that PR has not just told the U.S. to pound sand. I guess once a Big Gov't hooks a population on "benefits", they will tolerate a level of oppression.

    what, the director did not get any due process, no investigation, no trial to determine if he should be fired or not?
