Isn't this rather what the US is asserting regarding those dredged up islands in the South China Sea? That the South China Sea is our national interest?

Not to go off topic, but by what right do we claim our borders extend to the South China Sea.

Putin claimed it was a joke, but we don't.

Well said, Eleuthera. :clapping: Western powers are contaminating weak minds by fake news, false indignance and double standards - for the purpose of winning our support for their next war - whether it be in the Middle East, South-East Asia, Africa, Latin America or Russia. Putin's Russia has done nothing that cannot be negotiated through to satisfactory consequences for Europe and its own population. The US (whose nose is way out of its jurisdiction) is stirring the pot rather than offering suggestions through the proper channels: the United Nations.

It's interesting that the medieval Moldova held territories from Dniestr on the East to Carpathians on the West including the nowadays North-Eastern provinces of Romania. Igor Dodon noted this fact and said that Russia signed the Bucharest peace (with Turkey) of 1812 in a hurry, so the border was established not in a proper place.

Litwin, how do you think the Byzantine Empire survived for 1,000 years? It paid tribute to get the barbarians to stop attacking. Don't you think human lives are worth it? When the Barbary pirates were attacking ships, the Europeans were all paying them tribute... but not the Americans, they went to war and won... oddly enough!

Anyway back to the Chechnyans. Russia was fighting the Saudi and CIA supported Ukrainian terrorists... like for instance Yatsenuk. When Putin complained, Washington said we can do whatever we want.

Chechnya exists today because of Vladimir Putin ... that's why Kadyrov is willing to sacrifice his men to fight for mother Russia. So tell me now Litwin, how many are willing to fight for mother Lithuania?

I don't know who Hans is, and your sentence lacks a subject, so I'm not sure of the point your question makes.
