so it wont require funding, as it won't cost anything ? - - - Updated - - - .....and desire a subsidy at my expense.
I like to sprinkle lies on my breakfast cereal, It helps me understand the political positions of the left handed.
Well now.....try this real world example.......I have a company with five employees and I cover the health insurance premiums for my employees......our premiums just went up almost $10,000 for next year. How many small companies are going to choose to stop paying for their employee's health care or go out of business.......there's your "single example"
I want to know who barry soetoro is. I want you to explain to us why you call obama that. What are you affraid of?
I find both sides are waking up a bit. Vote Sarvis for Virginia Governor http://robertsarvis.com/about
It is funny....you demanding. If he wants to call POTOS the little shrimp so what? Who are you to demand? On this forum I see many members refer to people in power by slang names, get over it.
I will continue to demand anything I like. Yosh was a birther at one time, and him calling Obama Barry sotero is a throwback to his birther days.
What's a progam? Tom, you don't persuade us that you're as cool as you think you persuade us. When you're trying to pose as ultra-cool, one of the first demands is proof-reading.
Are you too naive to think that the other side is run by a couple of billionaires too? There might even be billionaires in common. A sharp person would know this Tom. - - - Updated - - - Wait! There's something wrong with your example, and someone on the left will soon tell us what it is...
I want to know why he is called 'Choom' or something like that. And I want to know if Michelle could beat up Barack. And I want to know if why he is sitting just a little bit close to his "friend" on that couch picture where he's getting stoned. Inquiring people want to know.
Your post implies you have no idea what I said in my original post. Your post also implies that you don't understand that the White House can shut down services that fall under the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. To answer your question: None of the Founding Fathers would have supported this law to begin with. None of them would have found it Constitutional and the Supreme Court, back then, never would have ruled it so. They also foretold that we would vote ourselves into slavery, by giving our freedoms away through legislation to make people more comfortable. Funny how that works, eh?
As for death panels and that little girl's plight, I guess you didn't read the story. It has NOTHING to do with obamacare. But don't let that stop you from contributing to the distortions, exaggerations, misinterpretations and outright lies opponents are so prone to spout. Yep. you sure know your stuff. Seems you can't even take facts for an answer. funny how "my media" is deceptive but "your media" financed by the Kochs and Fox aren't. Amazing how difficult it is for americans to implement universal healthcare, like every other industrialized western nation has decades ago. I guess they love those $50,000 appendectomies, $100,000 plus bills for a couple day hospital stay and having to pay even more exorbitant prices for all those uninsured parasitic poor people getting healthcare at the most expensive site possible (ERs). Yep the republicans (reagan) really solved a problem there didn't he?
The boneheads who voted for Obama are getting the future they deserve. Many younger people were duped into buying into the left winger garbage. hahaha!
I have to disagree with you on this point. Our founding fathers set up a system of taxing and spending for the general welfare of the citizens under the General Welfare Clause also associated with the Taxing and Spending Clause. Alexander Hamilton argued that the clause should be broadly interpreted to allow congress to benefit the general welfare of the country, such as agriculture and education as long as the spending does not benefit one portion of the country over any other. Thomas Jefferson asserted that “The laying of taxes is the power, and the general welfare the purpose for which the power is to be exercised. They are not to lay taxes ad libitum for any purpose they please; but only to pay the debts or provide for the welfare of the Union. In like manner, they are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare, but only to lay taxes for that purpose.” Shortly after our nations independence was won, the newly founded government Hamilton presented a report to congress arguing that the government needed to stimulate economic growth through subsidies and taxation. There is a lot more written from our founding fathers on this topic, but this is a good enough example to start with.
You're being completely disingenuous. It takes about 2min to go to the GPO, download the budget by Superfunction/Function of every year up until estimated 2018. The fact is this: Social welfare is the highest cost this government has, case closed. In 2012, we spent: $2.348 Trillion on Human Resources (that includes Education, Training, Employment, Social Services, Health, Medicare, Income Security, Social Security & Veterens benefits/services). Of that $2.348 Trillion, $1,120 Trillion was spent on Health, Medicare & Social Security. Social Services falls under the Department of Health & Human Services, and that alone accounts for $848 Billion, so $1.968 Trillion is spent on Social Welfare... and that's just in 2012. That $1.968 Trillion is the biggest portion (56%) of total outlays (spending), which is $3.537 Trillion. Physical resources account for $215 Billion, while "Other Functions" (such as General Science, Space, and Technology & Agriculture) account for $178 Billion, totaling $393 Billion (or 11% of total spending). It was a good effort, but the in the long run, the GPO (Government Printing Office) kills your theory.
You would think the Republicans would have enough sense to point out the faults with Obamacare from a position within a functioning government. If they'd voiced their concerns (as they've done loud and clear over the last three years) and let the healthcare law flop, then I have no doubt they'd be poised for a surge during the midterm elections and a run at the White House in 2016. But instead, they are making themselves look like political misfits, still dysfunctional even after that Romney/Ryan debacle. What's going on right now in Washington is embarrassing not just for the still-finding-themselves Republicans, but for anyone who claims Democracy is the best form of government.
Sorry, not my bag. I'm not shopping for nor am I going to buy Obamacare. Did you sign up for Obamacare???
It is interesting to bring up what the Founding Fathers would or would not do in today's time. I say this because, for example, when the subject of slavery is brought up, people invoke that we cannot blame the Founding Fathers for what was ok in their time. The same can be said in this argument, we cannot say what the Founding Fathers will or will not do, considering this is a different time and age.
How's that time machine fueled? I tried Helium 3? What a mess. Listen, you have to be careful traveling in time. You lose track of WHEN things happened to other people. In your case it's serious as you've screwed yourself out of three years.. Obamacare has only been in effect a WEEK. Try this: Go way ahead, say, 200 years. It's scary there. But the Andoroans have discovered us by then and they know a lot of rally cool (*)(*)(*)(*) about time travel.... Or go back in time and stay there...it's what all liberal time travelers do in the end any way....they simply can't handle change.. Anyway check out the Andoroans...ask for Ralph
There are a hundred other threads dedicated to that very issue... You needn't look very far. Then again, you actually need to look.
