No it wasn't all about the statue. The White Supremacist used it as another chance to protest. There were some in the group looking on, that came to harass the White Supremacist. They were shown in a video carrying sticks. All Trump was saying is there were people mixed in with the White Supremacist that were decent people, there to protest the removal of the statue and there were some in the group looking on that were there to harass the White Supremacist. There were good and bad people on both sides. I understood what he was saying right from the start.

I have relatives in Virginia and any one of them could have been in that group protesting it's removal. Trump was correct what he said, there were good and bad on both sides. He sure as hell wasn't talking about the White supremacists being some of the good guys no matter how much you Liberals want to make it out to be.
