Well regulated: In addition to being part of the prefatory clause which doesn't alter the operative clause, well regulated is a term in common use at the time of the Founding meaning IN WORKING ORDER. For instance: A well regulated BOWEL. I don't pass laws on it, or beat it with a hose, its just in functioning order.

For a militia that means able to present when called, immediately, bearing your own arms and gear. Arms sufficient for common military equipment being in private hands accomplishes this goal beautifully.

These are things you grabbers overlook every time, and it makes it difficult to have a discussion with you if you won't learn how things work.

It is utterly amazing how the left, which is every day more the territory of outrageous extremists alleging ridiculous things and promising impossible things and slandering people they dislike in every speech or interview, dares to speak about extremism of the right. Most of the time when there is a double standard, the perps actually know they are doing it, they just have no character or self-respect. Much of the left however seems able to think that it's rational- and they have the right to it. and that is even worse.
